Smothered Pork Chops from Birds Eye® image

Browned pork chops are simmered in a creamy sauce with lots of veggies, then served over noodles or mashed potatoes.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 bone-in pork chops
1 (14 ounce) bag Birds Eye® Recipe Ready Chopped Seasoning Blend
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom or celery soup
½ cup milk

Steps:

  • Season pork chops, if desired, with salt and black pepper. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook pork chops turning once, 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove chops from skillet; set aside.
  • Add Recipe Ready Chopped Seasoning Blend and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until vegetables are softened.
  • Stir in soup and milk; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and add back pork chops. Simmer 5 minutes or until pork is cooked through.* Serve over hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes.

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 bone-in pork loin chops (3/4-inch thick and 8 ounces each)
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream, divided
2/3 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper. Add pork chops, 1 at a time, and turn to coat. , In a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil on both sides. Arrange in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a large bowl, combine soup, 1/2 cup sour cream, broth, ginger and rosemary; pour over chops. Sprinkle with half the onions. , Cover and bake until tender, 45-50 minutes. Stir remaining sour cream into sauce. Sprinkle with remaining onions. Bake, uncovered, until onions are browned, about 10 minutes longer.

1 onion, chopped
4 cloves crushed garlic
6 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
½ cup water
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
1 (14.5 ounce) can fat-free chicken broth
1 tablespoon browning sauce

Steps:

  • Saute onion and garlic in a non-stick skillet coated with vegetable spray until tender. Add pork chops, and brown on both sides. Add 1/2 cup of water, and bring to a boil.
  • Whisk together, flour, chicken broth, and browning sauce until smooth. Add to skillet, stirring well. Cover and cook over low heat 30 to 45 minutes or until tender.

4 boneless pork chops (1-in thick)
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumb
2 tablespoons parsley (chopped)
2 teaspoons butter (melted)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (crushed)
1/3 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 1/2 ounces brie cheese (round of, halved)

Steps:

  • In a sml bowl, combine seasoned breadcrumbs, parsley, melted butter, garlic & thyme. Set crumb mixture aside.
  • In a wide, shallow bowl combine flour, coriander, salt & pepper.
  • Evenly coat both sides of ea chop w/mustard & then coat w/flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in skillet over med-hi heat. Brown chops well on ea side & place in a shallow baking dish.
  • Cut Brie in half & then cut again horizontally to form thin half-circles & place 1 on ea chop. Spoon crumb mixture on top of cheese-covered chops.
  • Bake (uncovered) in a 400°F oven for 20 minutes or till breadcrumbs are golden & chops just done. Serve immediately.
