1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons flour
1 can, 14.5 ounce diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups frozen crinkle cut French fries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425F.
  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion together until beef is cooked through and onion is soft and translucent. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil; remove from heat.
  • Pour mixture into an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish; spread out into an even layer and sprinkle with cheese. Arrange French fries in a single layer on top.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes or until French fries are golden brown.

2 cups frozen crispy French-fried potatoes (from 20-oz bag)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain well. Sprinkle flour over beef mixture. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in tomatoes; heat to boiling. Remove from heat.
  • In ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole, spread beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Arrange frozen potatoes evenly in single layer on top.
  • Bake uncovered about 20 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

1 (9 inch) pie shell
1 pound lean ground beef
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
½ cup tomato sauce
½ cup dried bread crumbs, seasoned
½ teaspoon seasoning salt
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
½ cup tomato sauce
½ cup cocktail sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Crumble ground beef into a large skillet. Saute over medium heat 1 minute, then add onion and green pepper. Continue to saute until onion begins to brown, about 5 minutes. Mix in 1/2 cup tomato sauce, bread crumbs, and seasoning salt. Spoon mixture into pastry shell.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together cheese, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and white pepper. Spread mixture over meat filling. Cover edges of crust with strips of aluminum foil.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, until topping is puffy and lightly browned. Allow to set 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Make garnish sauce by mixing together 1/2 cup tomato sauce and cocktail sauce. Garnish each slice of pie with a spoonful of sauce.

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, onion powder, salt and pepper over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is brown; drain.
  • Stir vegetables and soup into beef; heat to boiling. Spoon into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
