1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla, orange zest and orange extract. Combine the flour, baking soda and cinnamon; stir into the butter mixture. Stir in the oats and cranberries. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
3 cups quick-cooking oats
4 2/3 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted
6 tablespoons butterscotch topping
1/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, beat margarine with electric mixer until smooth. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat 2 to 3 minutes or until well combined and fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until just combined.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cardamom and oats. Add flour mixture to margarine mixture. Beat until just combined.
  • Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons 1 inch apart on cookie sheets. Bake 13 to 14 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix Icing ingredients; stir until smooth. Frost slightly warm cookies with icing.

1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup chopped sweetened dried cranberries
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
Powdered sugar and additional ground cardamom for dusting

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir together cookie mix, nuts, cranberries and 1 teaspoon cardamom. Stir in butter, water, vanilla and egg until soft dough forms.
  • Roll dough into tablespoonful-size balls; place about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

1 pkg oatmeal cookie mix
1/2 c walnuts, chopped
1/4 c cranberries, sweetened & dried
1 tsp cardamon, ground
1/2 c butter, softened
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg
powdered sugar & ground cardamon for dusting

Steps:

  • 1. First pre heat the oven to 350F. Then in a large bowl stir together cookie mix, nuts, cranberries & 1 teaspoon cardamom. Then stir in butter, water, vanilla & egg until soft dough forms.
  • 2. next roll dough into tablespoonful size balls place about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 3. Then bake for about 12 to 14 mins or until set. Then cool 2 to 3 mins remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Then sprinkle with powdered sugar and cardamom.

1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
2 cups packed dark brown sugar
2 cups applesauce
2 cups all-purpose flour
6 cups rolled oats
1 ½ cups dried cherries
1 ½ cups dried cranberries

Steps:

  • Cream butter or margarine, cinnamon, cardamom, baking soda, and brown sugar. Mix in applesauce. Gradually blend in flour, and then oats. Stir in dried. Let dough sit for one hour.
  • Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are slightly browned. Cool on wire rack.

Cardamom cookies are perfect for any time of the year, these tender shortbread cookies with a hint of cardamom are so delicious!

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp ground cardamom
1/8 tsp kosher salt
8 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk the flour, corn starch, powdered sugar, cardamom and salt.
  • Add in the butter and mix using a electric hand mixer until fully combined.
  • Add in the milk and mix until it forms into a dough. Use your hand to knead the dough if needed. Knead the dough until it's smooth and form it into a ball. Make sure not to knead it too much, just enough to bring it together.
  • Form the dough into a log about two inches in a diameter and wrap tightly in a plastic wrap. Refrigerate for one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Take the cookie dough log out of the fridge, place it on a cutting board and cut slices about ¼ inch thick.
  • Place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 12 minutes until they'r slightly golden on the edges and at the bottom.
  • Let the cookies cool for 10 minutes then transfer to the cooling rack.
