- Cook pasta according to packet instructions.
- Preheat oven to 180c.
- Brown mince in a non stick pan over medium heat with oil.
- Add bolognese sauce to mince once browned and simmer for 4 minutes.
- Combine pasta and mince mixture and spoon into ovenproof dish.
- Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat, adding flour and stirring for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in milk to thicken.
- Return to heat, adding egg and cheese, heating for 6 minutes.
- Spoon cheese mixture over mince and pasta in dish.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until golden.
- Serve with salad leaves and torn basil.

- Boil a pan of water and then cook the pasta for 10 minutes, no longer. Remove from the heat, sieve and run under the cold tap to stop it cooking further.
- Then fry the garlic and onion in the olive oil in a pan (I use my trusty wok) and when softened, set aside.
- Next brown the mince in the same pan. When browned all over, use a saucepan lid to help you pour off any excess oil from the frying. Then add the mushrooms, the tomatoes and the paprika to the pan. Fry for two minutes then add the garlic and onions back to the pan.
- Then add the tin of tomatoes, the beef stock and rosemary. Stir and bring to the boil, then turn down heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
