1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package (32 ounces) frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • In a 4-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 6 ingredients. Stir in hash browns and 1-1/2 cups cheese. Cook, covered, on low until potatoes are tender, 4-5 hours, sprinkling with remaining cheese during the last 5 minutes.

1 pound frozen Southern-style hash brown potatoes
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup crushed potato chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large baking dish, mix together potatoes, soup and sour cream. Mix in cheese and butter. Salt and pepper to taste, if desired. Top the mixture with potato chips.
  • Bake 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the mixture is bubbly and lightly brown.
  • Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes before serving.

Steps:

  • Layer the potatoes, onion, cheese, salt and pepper into a microwave safe casserole dish. Once finished layering, place 1 teaspoon of margarine on the top of the uppermost layer. Cover and cook in the microwave oven on HIGH for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the dish from the microwave and stir before cooking for another 10 minutes or until done. Stir well and serve.

8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
1/2 yellow onion, finely diced
Kosher salt
2 cloves garlic, smashed and finely chopped
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 quart milk
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 cups grated Gruyere
1 cup grated Parmigiano
3 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, unpeeled, cut into 1/4-inch slices

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onions, then season with salt and cook until the onions are soft and very aromatic, 5 to 7 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Whisk in the flour and cook until the roux is the consistency of wet sand, 3 to 4 minutes. Whisk in the milk, bring to a boil and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn off the heat and whisk in the mustard and cheeses. Season with salt to taste to make sure it is delicious!
  • Place a quarter of the potatoes in the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Ladle a quarter of the cheese sauce evenly over the potatoes. Repeat this process 3 or 4 more times with the remaining potatoes and sauce, pushing down the potatoes between each layer and topping with the sauce. Place the baking dish on a sheet tray lined with foil. Bake, rotating the dish halfway through, until the potatoes are soft when poked with a fork, 50 to 60 minutes. Tent with foil if the top is getting too brown.
  • Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
  • Hot cheesy potatoes!

  • Heat oven to 350°F if using julienne potatoes or 400° if using au gratin potatoes. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, mix Potatoes, Sauce Mix (from both potato mixes) and boiling water. Stir in sour cream, milk, margarine, bell pepper and 1/4 cup of the onions. Pour into baking dish.
  • Bake uncovered 35 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining onions and the cheese. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until bubbly around edges and potatoes are tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

3-1/2 to 4 pounds baking potatoes
1/2 cup butter
2-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

I came up with a similar recipe using them. I still make huge pans of them when I cater & get raves about them. Having Simply Potatoes just makes it so much easier & I can have these anytime, without leftovers. I twisted my original recipe using the ingredients listed & it was just as good, if not better. I hope you enjoy as much as we do. This goes well with almost any dish. We had it today with roasted chicken & fried green beans.

1 small red bell pepper, chopped
1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons butter
1 (20 ounce) package Simply Potatoes Diced Potatoes with Onion
1 (20 ounce) package Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns
1 cup Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
1 (16 ounce) jar alfredo sauce, with garlic
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
1/2 teaspoon california style garlic salt with parsley (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper (to taste)
10 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onion

Steps:

  • In small skillet, saute the onions, bell pepper, mushrooms in the butter, on high heat, until almost caramelized.
  • Spray a 9x13" glass cake pan with pan coating. Set aside.
  • In large bowl, combine all 3 types of potatoes, the sauteed onion mixture, Alfredo sauce, chicken broth, Velveeta , the garlic salt & pepper. Consistency should be thick. It will thin some when cooked.
  • Pour into prepared pan & bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
  • Remove from oven & sprinkle on the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Return to oven for about 5 minutes, until cheese melts.
  • Remove from oven & let set on counter about 10 minutes.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle on the green onions.
