8 oz imitation crab
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Ritz crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • Shred the imitation crab and put it in a large mixing bowl
  • Add the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, and 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and stir to combine
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper
  • Spread the crab dip in a casserole dish
  • Cover with the remaining cheddar cheese
  • Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly
  • Serve warm with Ritz crackers

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 onion, chopped
One 8-ounce piece deli ham, diced
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
One 17.5-ounce package potato gnocchi
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/4 cup heavy cream
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler to high heat.
  • Melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the ham and thyme and continue to cook until the ham is lightly browned.
  • Add the chicken broth and 3/4 cup water and bring to a simmer. Add the gnocchi, stir well, cover and cook until the gnocchi is slightly tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat. Uncover and stir in the peas, cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Sprinkle the cheese over the top and broil until golden and bubbly, about 3 minutes. Serve.

  • Salt water, boil and add gnocchi. Cook for 3 mins.

Cheesy Bacon and Pesto Baked Gnocchi is a very easy family recipe which tastes delicious and comforting. I chop it up a bit for my 3 year old and mash it up for my (nearly) 1 year old. They both love it. I like to serve it with a salad for grown ups. Because gnocchi is quite dense a light salad compliments it well.

2019-01-27 Remove from heat. Stir in half the Fontal (or Gruyere cheese) and 1/2 the Parmesan cheese, then gently add the Gnocchi. Place in baking dish, sprinkle with remaining Fontal cheese and Parmesan cheese, top with fresh thyme if desired. Bake for 3-5 minutes then broil for another 3-5 minutes. Let sit a couple of minutes before serving.
