- Layer the dry ingredients in a one litre jar, following the order above, from top, starting with the baking powder and flour. Press each layer down before adding the next. The amounts given should exactly fill a one litre jar.

- Combine the contents of the jar with 150g melted butter and 3 beaten eggs. Mix well, and pour into a lined 9 x 9 inch tin. Bake at Gas 4 / 180 C (160 fan) / 350 F for 25-35 minutes.

- Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next layer. NOTE: Be sure to wipe out the inside of the jar with a dry paper towel after adding the cocoa powder, so the other layers will show through the glass.
- Attach a tag with the following instructions: Brownie Mix in a Jar 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13inch baking pan. 2. Empty jar of brownie mix into a large mixing bowl, and stir to blend. Mix in 3/4 cup melted butter and 4 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan. 3. - Attach liqueur bottle to the jar with a ribbon. include instructions.

- heat oven to 350°F
- grease bottom only of square 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 inch pan with shortening.
- Melt 1/2 cup butte or margarine.
- Beat melted butter, 2 eggs and the liqueur in medium bowl with spoon till blended.
- Stir in celebration mix.

Assemble the brownie mix. In a clean quart-sized glass jar, layer the sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, flour and chocolate chips. It should fill the jar just to the top. Use a funnel or spoon the ingredients in to prevent spilling and make a beautiful pattern. Put on the lid, a square of decorated fabric if desired, and then tighten jar ring.
