CARAMEL PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIES

Steps:

• In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and remove from heat.
• Stir in peanut butter until melted, then add in Rice Krispies. Fold or stir gently until well coated.
• Add the caramel bits in while the Rice Krispies are still warm, so the caramel gets soft and gooey, but not completely melted, by folding them in, until evenly distributed.
• Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 8x8 or 9x9 inch pan coated with non-stick spray or use tin foil and so they come out easily using non-stick spray. Do not compact the bars when pressing down the mixture, they more you compress they harder they are to cut into bars, as most rice krispie treats are.
• Let cool.

• Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with foil. Lightly spray the foil with vegetable spray.
• Mix sugar and corn syrup in 3 quart sauce pan until mixture boils.
• Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter; mix well until melted.
• Add Rice Krispies, stirring until all are coated.
• Add 1 cup of mini chocolate chips and stir to distribute throughout. (Don't worry if they melt).

Steps:

• Butter a 9- bX 13-inch pan and butter the pot and utensils you will be using to melt the marshmallows. Add 3 tablespoons of butter and the marshmallows in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until melted. When completely melted and smooth, stir in the vanilla. Bars are easiest to cut when cold but are best eaten at room temperature or only slightly chilled.

• In a sauce pan, combine and mix 1 cup (240 gram) peanut butter and marshmallows over medium heat, stirring constantly.
• Lower the heat and cook until melted. Remove from heat.
• Add in, rice cereal, and chocolate candies. Mix until evenly combined.
• Turn mixture into buttered 9x9 (23x23x5cm) pan.
• Melt 2 cups (450g) of chocolate chips in a bowl in 30-second increments.

Steps:

• In large electric mixer bowl, beat peanut butter, margarine and sugar on medium speed until thoroughly combined. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal, mixing thoroughly. Portion mixture, using rounded teaspoon. Shape into balls. Place each ball in paper cup. Refrigerate.
• Melt chocolate morsels and shortening in small saucepan, over low heat, stirring constantly. Spoon 1 teaspoon melted chocolate over each peanut butter ball. Refrigerate until firm. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Steps:

• Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot.
• Stir in the marshmallows and cook until fully melted and no marshmallow white remains.
• Stir in the peanut butter until combined.
• Stir in the cereal until distributed evenly through the marshmallow mixture.
• Pour out onto a lightly greased rectangular baking dish (9 by 13 inches).
• Smooth out the top of the treats by moistening your hands with a little water and using the palms of your hand to press down gently. Don't press down too hard or else your treats will be too dense.
• Set aside to cool.
• Once the treats have cooled, melt the chocolate over low heat.
• Cut the treats into even squares and quickly just shallowly dip the top side of the treats into the chocolate.
• Turn chocolate side up and set in a baking dish or on a rack until set.

Microwave 1-1/2 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 45 sec. Add cereal; mix well. Press onto bottom of foil-lined 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
• Microwave caramels and milk in medium microwaveable bowl 2 to 2-1/2 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute; pour over cereal mixture. Spread to completely cover cereal mixture. Sprinkle with nuts; press lightly into caramel with back of spoon to secure.
• Place chocolates in small microwaveable bowl. Microwave 1 min. or until chocolates are completely melted, stirring every 30 sec.; drizzle over nuts. Cool before cutting to serve.
