Steps:
- Brush a 8-by-8-inch baking dish with butter, and line with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on long sides. Brush parchment with butter.
- Heat 1/2 cup condensed milk, 4 tablespoons butter, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring, until melted, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat. Mix in peanut butter and 1 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Press peanut butter mixture into the bottom of prepared baking dish, smoothing top with an offset spatula.
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring, until melted, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in remaining 3/4 cup condensed milk and a pinch of salt, until melted and combined. Mix in remaining 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar. Spread chocolate mixture over peanut butter layer, smoothing top with an offset spatula. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
- Remove fudge from pan using parchment to lift, and transfer to a cutting board. Peel off parchment. Using a warm knife, cut crosswise into eight 1-inch-wide strips; cut each strip into 8 pieces.
THE WORLD'S BEST CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE
I watched this this Sunday on Mirch Masala, Star Plus. Absolutely yummy! The number of servings is a guess. Note: The preparation time does not include the refrigeration time. My dad, OMG, is in love with this fudge. He has a little everyday of the batch I made about 4 days back, and, he confesses like a little child to me, that he had it and I shouldn't tell his yoga sir the same. LOL. This fudge is the key to dad's heart:) Make this for your special someone or your loving parents and family/best friend for a real good yummy and wonderful treat that gets tastier by the day!

Steps:
- Put sugar in a frying pan.
- Add cocoa powder.
- Add milk.
- Stir and cook till the mixture is smooth and you get a two thread consistency -- This takes a long time, it took me nearly 25 minutes on low - medium flame, so one has to be patient and wait to get the two thread consistency
- Add peanut butter, essence and salt.
- DO NOT MIX.
- Remove from heat.
- Allow the mixture to come down to room temperature (about 15 minutes).
- Grease a square or rectangular tray with butter.
- Add walnuts to the prepared mixture.
- Mix well.
- Pour into the greased tray.
- Freeze for 1-1 1/2 hours to allow the mixture to set.
- Once set, remove from freezer -- you can keep this in your refrigerator after having kept it for 1.5 hours in the freezer to set, until it's time to serve this delicious fudge.
- Cut into long pieces.
- Serve immediately or pack each piece with a transparent gift paper (store in refrigerator).
- Then, fold edges like a paper fan.
- Attach (and seal to secure) each side of the paper with a ribbon- use red ribbon for one side and green ribbon for the other.
- Likewise, repeat for all the fudge pieces.
- Pack into your goodie basket and enjoy!
- Merry Christmas!

- Line a 8x8 or 9x9 square baking pan with foil or parchment, then lightly grease the foil or parchment; set aside.
- In a large heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, marshmallow fluff, evaporated milk and cubed butter over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter chips, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until combined and melted together.
- Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth into an even layer. Let stand for about 10-20 minutes to cool down some, then place in the refrigerator to chill and set, about 2 hours. Once chilled and set, remove from the pan and cut into squares, trimming off any rough edges with a sharp knife. Since this fudge is sticky, I recommend wetting your knife with HOT water, then wiping the water off and using the hot knife to cut, repeating after each cut. I got about 25 pieces of fudge, doing 5 rows by 5 rows (and trimming the edges). Place the squares of fudge onto a baking sheet lined with parchment and freeze until firm, about 20 minutes.
- Melt your candy coating according to package directions, or until smooth. Use a fork to lower a piece of semi-frozen fudge into the candy coating and toss to coat. Allow excess chocolate coating to drip off of the fork, then carefully slide the coated fudge piece back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with coating the remaining fudge pieces. With any leftover chocolate, drizzle over the set chocolate fudge pieces, or top with sprinkles while coating is still wet.
