CHOCOLATE JUBILEES
Rich and fudgy, these cookies make many appearances in care packages I send out. I combined several recipes and added maraschino cherries to come up with this winning recipe.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extract. Combine the flour, oats, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Transfer to a larger bowl if necessary. Stir in chocolate chips, cherries and almonds if desired. , Roll into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place 3 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan.
- An a large bowl, blend cake mix, almond extract, cherry filling, and eggs.
- Beat at highest speeds for two minutes.
- Pour into the previously prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, blend chocolate chips, margarine, and milk over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly.
- Remove the pan from heat.
- Stir in powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spoon over the now-cooled cake.

CHOCOLATE CHIP JUBILEE JUMBLES
Steps:
- Mix all ingredients except flour and chocolate chips in mixing bowl. Can be done by hand or with electric mixer. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time. Dough will get stiff and sticky.
- Once mixed, add chocolate chips and mix through. Drop by Tablespoonful on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
