This recipe came about by accident when I was making both my husband's favorite peanut butter cookies and my favorite chocolate cookies. I had two small portions of dough left over and decided to combine them into one flavor-filled cookie. -Shirley DeLange, Byron Center, Michigan

- In a large bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in peanuts; set aside. , For chocolate dough, in another bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Gently fold in peanut butter dough until slightly marbled., Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 3 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 14-16 minutes or until lightly browned and firm. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

- Heat oven to 350ºF.
- Beat first 4 ingredients in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until blended. Add flour and baking soda; mix well. Remove half of the dough; place in medium bowl.
- Microwave 2 oz. chocolate in small microwaveable bowl 1 min.; stir until completely melted. Add to dough in one of the bowls; mix well. Add peanut butter to remaining dough; mix well. Add chocolate dough to peanut butter dough; mix lightly just until doughs are marbleized.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheet.
- Bake 10 min. or until lightly browned; cool 5 min. on baking sheet. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely. Melt remaining chocolate as directed on package. Drizzle with fork over cookies. Let stand until chocolate is firm.

- Position the oven racks in the top and bottom thirds of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat the peanut butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar and salt with an electric mixer on medium-high speed in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in the vanilla and egg. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Put some granulated sugar in a small bowl. Shape tablespoons of the dough into balls and roll each ball in the sugar to coat. Evenly space the balls on the prepared baking sheets. Press each ball down with the tines of a fork to flatten it slightly and make a crisscross pattern.
- Bake until the bottoms are golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. The cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
MARBLED CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Slowly blend the dry mix into butter mixture.
- Make small (teaspoonfuls) balls of the cookie dough. Press your thumb in the middle of the ball (like a thumbprint cookie). Put a small dollop of peanut butter in the indent. Press a little extra dough on top of the cookie to cover the peanut butter (its okay if a little is still showing). Place onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven 10 minutes.

- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter, shortening, granulated sugar, and 1 cup light-brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully combined between each addition. Add vanilla, and beat to combine. Gradually add dry ingredients, and mix on low speed until fully combined. Remove from mixer. Using a wooden spoon, stir in chocolate chips. Cover bowl with plastic wrap, and chill until firm, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with Silpats (nonstick French baking mats) or parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, using a rubber spatula, stir together peanut butter and remaining 1/4 cup light-brown sugar.
- Using a 1 1/4-inch scoop or heaping tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Make a thumbprint in the center of each cookie. Fill thumbprint with 1 teaspoon peanut-butter mixture. Top with a second scoop of dough, and carefully mold dough to cover "surprise."
- Bake until firm, about 12 minutes. Transfer sheets to wire racks to cool for 5 minutes, then transfer cookies to racks.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1 egg, and milk until smooth. Set aside.
