key lime juice or ReaLime, or to taste
4 ½ ounces Clamato® Tomato Cocktail
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes habanero pepper sauce
1 (12 ounce) bottle beer
Ice, as needed
1 lime wheel
4 tablespoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Rose's® sweetened lime juice, as needed

Steps:

  • In a shaker with ice, combine key lime juice, Clamato®, Worcestershire sauce and habanero pepper sauce; shake well to chill. Serve in a rimmed tall glass with ice; fill with beer. Garnish with lime wheel.
  • Rimming Spice Blend: Combine kosher salt, chili powder and oregano onto small plate. Pour lime juice onto another small plate. Dip rim of glass into juice lime, then dip carefully into spice blend.
  • Enjoy responsibly!

Clamato beer (aka Clamato Michelada or prepared beer with Clamato) is an intensely flavored Mexican beer cocktail. It is mixed by combining Michelada preparation, Mexican dark lager and Clamato juice.

4-5 oz Clamato juice or mix 3-4 oz tomato juice with 1-2 oz all natural clam juice*
Tajin seasoning or other chili lime seasoning (enough to rim the glass and a pinch to flavor the drink)
1.5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
2 dashes Maggi liquid seasoning
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco or other hot sauce
12 oz dark Mexican lager such as Dos Equis Ambar or Victoria
ice cubes, as needed, use conservatively in order not to water down the drink

Steps:

  • 1. If you are making clamato juice mix tomato juice and clam juice in 3:1 ratio, taste and add a bit more clam juice if needed. Chill. 2. Run a wedge of lime around the rim of a pint glass and dip it in chili lime seasoning (Tajin or other). 3. Add freshly squeezed lime juice (using a citrus squeezer recommended). 4. Add clamato juice, the Maggi liquid seasoning, Worcestershire, Tabasco, pinch of chili lime seasoning and if using chopped/minced clams. Stir to mix. 5. Top with dark Mexican lager, add a few ice cubes and stir again. Garnish with lime wedge, celery stick of chilled, cocktail style seafood. Enjoy!

I love beer 'n tomato juice cocktails! You can vary this recipe to your own personal taste, too. Some like barely any in there at all, just a shot, and some like as much as half and half! Other ingredients can be added as well as garnishes! Just have fun and enjoy! (Photo from bing images)

1 ice cold beer
tomato juice, clamato juice or v-8 regular or spicy hot
OTHER ADDITIONS:
celery salt
hot sauce or cayenne
salt and/or pepper
lemon or lime wedge, garnish glass

Steps:

  • 1. Pour beer slowly into small pitcher.
  • 2. Add as much tomato juice as you like. (Taste as you go.)
  • 3. Stir in any extra ingredients of choice and pour into salt-rimmed glass with a lime or lemon wedge if desired.
  • 4. Keep extra chilled.
