1/2 cup 125 mL milk
1 tsp 5 mL soy sauce
1 dash black pepper
4 cups 1 L cooked green beans
1 1/3 cups 330 mL French's® French Fried Onions

Steps:

  • Stir the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 2/3 cup of the onions in an 8-inch (1.5 qt) casserole.
  • Bake at 350°F (180°C). for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling. Stir the bean mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining onions.
  • Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

I can easily fix this recipe in a hurry and on a budget and my DH LOVES it. You cannot go wrong with this one... 1 lb ground beef
salt & pepper
2 1/2 cups frozen green beans, defrosted and drained
1 (15 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
5 medium potatoes, chopped
1/2 cup warm milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In large skillet, saute onions in a little oil.
  • Add ground beef and salt and pepper to taste and brown the beef.
  • Add drained beans and tomato soup.
  • Pour into 9x13 baking dish.
  • While beef is browning, boil and mash the potatoes with milk, egg, salt & pepper.
  • Make small piles on top of meat mixture.

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded, optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Heat a large saucepan of salted water to a boil; add green beans and cook just until slightly tender, about 5 minutes. Drain.

1/4 cup of finely minced onion, optional
1 (10.75 ounce) can of condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of whole milk
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
4 cups of cooked green beans
1-1/3 cups (more or less) of French fried onions (like French's), divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish with butter or non-stick spray; set aside. Saute the bacon and onion in a skillet just until onion is tender and bacon fat rendered, about 5 minutes. Pour off excess bacon drippings, reserving for another use. Stir in the soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper until well blended. Add the green beans and 1/4 of the French fried onions; turn out into the casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes or until bubbly.
