COKECOLA CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13x9-in. baking pan., In a large bowl, whisk the first 5 ingredients. In a small saucepan, combine cola, butter and cocoa; bring just to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened., In a small bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk and vanilla until blended; add to flour mixture, whisking constantly., Transfer to prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean., About 15 minutes before cake is done, prepare glaze. In a small saucepan, bring cola to a boil; cook 12-15 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup. Stir in butter and cocoa until butter is melted; remove from heat. Add confectioners' sugar; stir until smooth. Pour immediately over hot cake.

COCO-COLA CAKE II

Steps:

• Combine flour and white sugar in mixing bowl. Heat 1 cup butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, and 1 cup cola soft drink to boiling and pour over the flour and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
• Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and marshmallows and mix well.
• Bake in a prepared 9 by 13 inch pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• While still hot, frost with Coco Cola Frosting: Combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 2 tablespoons cocoa and 6 tablespoons cola soft drink and heat to boiling. Pour over 4 cups confectioners' sugar and mix well. Mix in chopped nuts and spread over hot cake.

COCA COLA CAKE USING BOX CAKE MIX RECIPE - (3.7/5)

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Spray 9x13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Prepare cake mix according to package directions but instead of adding water, you will replace that amount with Coca-Cola. Add in dry instant pudding mix to the batter and mix as well. Pour batter into baking dish and bake according to package directions, usually around 35-39 minutes. Just before cake is ready to come out of the oven, start making frosting. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, start melting one stick of butter. Add in cocoa powder and heavy cream (or milk) and stir. Then stir in confectioners' sugar. Stir briskly with a whisk to get all the lumps out. Take mixture off the heat and add in vanilla extract. Once cake comes out of oven pour frosting over warm cake. Do your best to spread it out evenly. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top, if using. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Steps:

• Heat to boiling: butter, cocoa and cola drink.
• Remove from heat and add flour, sugar, baking soda and mix gently. Stir in buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows.
• Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 35 minutes. Cake can be frosted while warm. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

COCA-COLA CHOCOLATE CAKE

Steps:

• Sift flour and sugar together.
• Combine the margarine, shortening, cocoa and cola in saucepan and bring to boil. Add the chocolate mixture to sugar-flour mixture. Add buttermilk, soda, vanilla and beaten eggs.
• Beat well, fold in marshmallows.
• Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes in a 13 x 9 pan.
• Ice with the chocolate icing.

MOM'S CHOCOLATE COCA-COLA CAKE & FROSTING

Steps:

• In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 2 cups sugar.
• In a heavy saucepan combine 1/2 cup margarine or butter, 1/2 cup oil, 3 tbsp cocoa, and 1 cup coke. Bring to a boil. Pour over the dry ingredients mixed earlier. Mix until blended.
• In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup buttermilk and 1 tsp baking soda. Then add it to the mixture.
• Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla and beat inches Then fold in the marshmallows.
• Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean) in a 350 degree oven.
• For the frosting: Place 1/2 cup margarine or butter, 3 tbsp cocoa, and 5 tbsp coke in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the confectioners sugar and vanilla. Mix well. If it is too thick, and a drop or two more of coke.
• If you want the white 7 minute frosting: (These ingredients are not listed above!) In the top of a double boiler, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp cold water, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp light corn syrup, and a dash of salt. Beat at a low speed of an electric mixer 30 seconds or just until blended. Place over boiling water; beat constantly on high speed 7 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat 2 minutes or until frosting is thick enough to spread.
