5-LAYER COOKIE 'BOX' BROWNIE CHEESECAKE RECIPE BY TASTY

5-Layer Cookie 'Box' Brownie Cheesecake Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: chocolate chip cookie dough, brownie mix, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, large egg, double-stuffed chocolate cookie sandwiches, whipped cream

Provided by Alvin Zhou

Categories     Desserts

Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

16 oz chocolate chip cookie dough, room temperature
36 oz brownie mix, 2 boxes, batter prepared according to package instructions
24 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
40 double-stuffed chocolate cookie sandwiches
whipped cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Line a 10-inch (25-cm) springform pan with 2 layers of plastic wrap long enough to hang over the sides.
  • Press the cookie dough evenly into a circle along the bottom of the pan, then fold the plastic wrap over the top.
  • Unclasp the pan and freeze the cookie dough disk.
  • Re-clasp the pan, then spray the bottom with cooking spray.
  • Pour in the brownie batter.
  • Spray the bottom and sides of a 5-inch (12-cm) or deeper, 8-inch (20-cm) wide cake pan, then press the greased cake pan into the brownie mix until the batter reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, then cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the oven temperature to 300°F (150°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until there are no lumps and the batter is smooth.
  • While the brownie is still warm, carefully rotate and press down on the inner cake pan using oven mitts or pads to push the cooked brownie even more up the sides of the springform pan into an even ring. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Arrange a single layer of the sandwich cookies, roughly 14-15, on the bottom of the brownie shell as close together as possible.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter on top of the cookies and spread evenly across the top.
  • Tap the pan to release any large air bubbles, then bake for about 40 minutes until the cheesecake slightly jiggles in the center. Freeze until the top of the cheesecake is slightly firm, about 30 minutes.
  • Arrange another layer of cookies on top of the cheesecake layer, then place the frozen cookie dough disk on top.
  • Tuck in any edges, then bake for 20 minutes.
  • Chill completely, then release the pan. Slice, and serve with a dollop of whipped cream topped with another cookie!
  • Enjoy!

THE ULTIMATE COOKIE DOUGH CAKE

The Ultimate Cookie Dough Cake image

Your inner child will flip for this cake. A layer of chocolate-chip cookie dough is sandwiched inside classic vanilla cake, then drizzled with chocolate ganache and decorated with cookies -- and, dare we say it, more chocolate chips!

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 2h35m

Yield 12 to 14 servings

Number Of Ingredients 20

2 sticks (16 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more buttering for the pans
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pans (see Cook's Note)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon fine salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs, at room temperature
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon fine salt
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature
6 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 1/2 teaspoons alcohol-free vanilla extract
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
4 ounces semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup heavy cream

Steps:

  • For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter three 8-inch round cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment. Butter the parchment and dust the pans with flour, tapping out the excess.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Beat the butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Reduce the mixer speed to medium and beat in the eggs, one at a time, scraping down the bowl as needed. Beat in the vanilla.
  • Reduce the speed to medium and add the flour mixture in 3 batches, alternating with the cream, beginning and ending with the flour; beat until just smooth, about 3 minutes.
  • Divide the batter between 2 of the prepared pans. Bake until the cakes are light golden on top and the centers spring back when pressed, 25 to 30 minutes. Transfer to racks and let cool for 10 minutes. (Leave the oven on for the cookie dough.) Invert the cakes out onto the racks (remove the parchment) to cool completely, about 1 hour. Trim the tops of the cakes with a long serrated knife to make level, if needed.
  • For the cookie dough: Meanwhile, microwave the flour in a small microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute (see Cook's Note). Remove and stir well. Microwave for an additional minute or until the temperature registers 180 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer. Sift into a medium bowl, then whisk in the baking soda and salt.
  • Beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, yogurt and vanilla in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until well incorporated, about 1 minute. (Turn off the beaters and use your hands to help combine if needed). Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula or mix them in with your hands. (You should have about 4 cups of cookie dough.)
  • Remove 1/4 cup cookie dough and roll into 6 heaping teaspoon sized balls and place them 1-inch apart on a baking sheet. Bake until the cookies are set and browned around the edges, 10 to 12 minutes. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to a rack to cool completely, about 25 minutes. Cut the cookies in half.
  • Make the ganache: Place the chocolate in a medium bowl. Bring the heavy cream to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Pour the cream over the chocolate and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Assemble the cake: Place a cake layer on a cake stand or platter. Press half of the remaining cookie dough evenly on top of the cake (it should be about a 1/2-inch-thick layer). Top with the other cake round and then press the remaining cookie dough evenly on top of the cake. Drizzle some of the ganache around the edge of the cake letting it drip down the sides. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of the ganache over the top of the cake. Spread the remaining ganache around the bottom of the cake to make a 1-inch border. Press the mini chocolate chips into the ganache. Decorate the top of the cake with the cookie halves. Chill until the ganache has set, about 20 minutes.

COOKIE DOUGH LAYERED 'BOX' CAKE RECIPE BY TASTY

Cookie Dough Layered 'Box' Cake Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: yellow cake mix, chocolate chips, flour, brown sugar, butter, milk, chocolate chips, vanilla, salt, chocolate chips, butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, salt

Provided by Erin Vansloten

Categories     Bakery Goods

Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 box yellow cake mix, prepared
2 cups chocolate chips
4 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups butter, softened
4 tablespoons milk
½ cup chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons salt
½ cup chocolate chips, chopped
2 ½ sticks butter, unsalted
2 ½ cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
  • Prepare 1 box of yellow cake mix according to instructions on box.
  • Add chocolate chips to the cake batter.
  • Grease two 8-inch (20 cm) cake pans, and pour batter into each pan. Bake according to box instructions.
  • Remove cake from pans and let cool.
  • Prepare for the cookie dough by evenly spreading flour out on a baking tray and baking for 5 minutes. This will cook out any potential bacteria in the raw flour.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk, chocolate chips, and salt until combined evenly. If flour is clumpy after baking, use a siever to help get out the clumps.
  • Take a cake pan and line it with plastic wrap. Then fill the pan with half of the cookie dough mixture.
  • Take the other half of the cookie dough mixture, and roll it into small balls to be used as a garnish.
  • Refrigerate cookie dough layer and dough balls for 30 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt with hand mixer.
  • Use a serrated knife to cut the round top off of the cake so the cakes are even and flat. Spread a light layer of buttercream at the center of the cake stand.
  • Place the first cake on a cake stand, and spread a light layer of buttercream at the center.
  • Remove cookie dough layer from the pan using the plastic wrap, and place layer on top of the cake. Spread a light layer of buttercream at the center of the cookie dough layer.
  • Place second cake on top. Shave down the edges of the cake if necessary so that each layer evenly fits over the other. Add the remaining amount of buttercream to the top layer of cake, and frost the cake completely.
  • Top with cookie dough balls.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Enjoy!

COOKIE DOUGH BROWNIES

Cookie Dough Brownies image

We took all the best shortcuts to make this the easiest, most delicious recipe for cookie dough brownies you've ever had! While the whole recipe will take a couple hours to bake and be ready to serve, this cookie dough brownie recipe only takes about 15 minutes to prep. Start by mixing up Betty Crocker™ salted caramel brownie mix, a package of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough and top it all with Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting. Instead of enjoying a tasty brownie and cookie dough separately, mix them together for your new favorite dessert.

Provided by Betty Crocker Kitchens

Categories     Dessert

Time 2h25m

Yield 48

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Salted Caramel Brownie Mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookies
1 container (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. (See Kitchen Tip regarding disposable foil pan.) Set caramel pouch from brownie mix aside. In large bowl, stir brownie mix, water, oil and egg with spoon until well blended. Spread half of batter in pan.
  • Break cookie dough into small pieces. Sprinkle pieces evenly over brownie batter in pan; lightly press into batter. Squeeze pouch of caramel from brownie mix to soften. Cut 1/4-inch tip from corner of pouch; squeeze caramel between pieces of cookie dough, using entire pouch. Spoon remaining brownie batter over caramel and cookie dough.
  • Bake 34 to 38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Frost with chocolate frosting. For brownies, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE LAYER CAKE

Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer Cake image

I first made this cake for my brother's birthday. He doesn't care for normal cake, and his favorite sweet is chocolate chip cookies, so he (and all the rest of the family) loved this. He has asked for it every birthday since. One time when I served it to ten people and there was leftovers, I caught my dad eating it for breakfast the next morning! All lovers of chocolate chip cookies must try it! Serve with vanilla ice cream.
