- In a large bowl, beat the cake mix, butter and egg until crumbly. Press onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Top with pie filling. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over top., Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. In a small bowl combine the confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve with ice cream.

- In sm bowl, blend sour cream, egg and vanilla.
- Pour over sugar mixture.
- Bake for 40 minutes, until topping is golden.

- Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Line a 23cm loose-bottomed cake tin with baking parchment. In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until thick and pale, about 5 mins. Pour in the oil and stir well to combine.
- Sieve in the dry ingredients and fold through until the mixture is smooth and well combined before adding the apples.
- Carefully pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 45-50 mins. Leave to cool slightly before turning out onto a cooling rack. Once the cake is cool, dust with icing sugar and cinnamon.

- Beayt together eggs, vanilla and oil until well combined. Stir in half of the following; sugar, flour, salt and baking soda. Mix remaining half with the apples and chopped nuts. Combine the 2 mixtures by hand until well mixed.
- Grease a 9" pie plate and spread mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- Topping: Combine brown sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Drizzle topping over cake and garnish with pecan halves.
