These are a low calorie nutritious snack. Like potato chips, you cannot stop at just eating one. They are great for parties and a good conversation topic.

1 bunch kale
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  • Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.

This baked kale chip recipe makes the perfect healthy low carb snack. They're crispy, garlicky and so easy to make!

3 Cups Kale (about 2-3 leaves)
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1/8 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Onion Powder

Steps:

  • Gather all the ingredients.
  • Preheat oven to 325F.
  • Wash, dry, remove ribs (stem) and cut kale into bite size pieces (about 1/2 inch slices). Place into a mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil into mixing bowl and coat well.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Line an oven tray with aluminum foil, transfer kale. Make sure there is no overlap (depending on the size of your tray, you may need to use 2 trays). Sprinkle seasoning mix over kale and place into center of the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until crispy.
  • Remove tray from oven and allow to cool down. Once cool, transfer to serving plate.

1 head kale, washed and thoroughly dried
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.
  • Remove the ribs from the kale and cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Lay on a baking sheet and toss with the olive oil and salt. Bake until crisp, turning the leaves halfway through, about 20 minutes. Serve as finger food.

1 bunch curly kale, stemmed and leaves torn into 2-inch pieces
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • For the chips: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and place a rack in the center of the oven.
  • Place the kale on a sheet pan in an even layer. Sprinkle the lemon zest and granulated garlic over the kale. Drizzle the oil over the top and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Bake until crisp, about 20 minutes.
  • For the dipping sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk the sour cream, buttermilk, lemon juice, cumin, paprika and some salt and pepper until combined. Serve with the kale chips.
