Steps:

  • Prepare oven broiler. On an ungreased baking sheet, toast each side of bread until crisp, 1 to 3 minutes per side. Sprinkle tops with Parmesan, marjoram, and pepper. Return to broiler until cheese melts and begins to bubble, 1 to 3 minutes. Serve warm.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Pour a heaping tablespoon of Parmesan onto a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet and lightly pat down. A silicone baking sheet is highly recommended. Repeat with the remaining cheese, spacing the spoonfuls about a 1/2 inch apart.
  • Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden and crisp. Cool.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice baguette on sharp diagonal to make about twenty 6- to 7-inch-long, 1/4-inch-thick slices. Melt butter with oil and garlic in small saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Brush butter mixture over both sides of bread slices. Arrange bread in single layer on 2 baking sheets. Sprinkle cheese over bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 cup flour
2 eggs
1 cup seasoned breadcrumb
2 cups marinara sauce
8 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
fresh basil, thinly sliced, to serve
vegetable oil, for frying

Steps:

  • Cut the chicken breasts in half widthwise to make 4 thin breasts.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  • Coat the chicken in flour, then egg, and then bread crumbs.
  • Pour oil in a cast-iron skillet to come ¼ inch (½ cm) up the side. Heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and fry on both sides until brown, about 4 minutes.
  • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Place the fried chicken breasts in a baking dish. If they don't fit side by side, gently overlap them. Pour the marinara over the chicken.
  • Top with mozzarella slices and Parmesan.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is browned and bubbling.

EASY SPICY PARMESAN TOASTS

These are a favorite in my house, they are incredibly easy to make and so good!. A good olive oil and Parmesan cheese is a must with this. Purchase the long narrow French baguette for this and make certain that it is a day old, it makes slicing easier. I have even made these using melted butter in place of olive oil, and added in some garlic powder with the cayenne/cheese mixture. If you like super spicy just increase the cayenne slightly. These make a great late-nite or weekend snack! Yield is only estimated depending on the size of the baguette.

1 French baguette (use a day old bread)
1/3 cup olive oil (you might need a bit more)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
2 cups grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Set oven to 375 degrees (oven rack to second-lowest position).
  • Prepare a one or two large baking sheets.
  • Slice the baguette into 1/4-inch slices and arrange in a single layer on baking sheet/s.
  • brush one side with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Toss the cheese with the cayenne pepper.
  • Remove the toasts from oven and sprinkle with the cheese/cayenne mixture.
  • Place back into the oven and bake for 6-8 minutes more, until the cheese melts and the toasts are golden.
  • Cool completely.

Steps:

  • Prep a baking tray & cover in greaseproof paper.
  • Put a round former of your choice on the tray & fill with finely grated parmesan
  • Here is the recipe in full
  • . Grate the Parmesan finely. (The finest Microplane grater does a good job because it produces thin ribbons, not granules.)
  • 2. Put a sheet of greaseproof paper (or a silpat sheet, if you have one) over the back of a baking tray (better to put it over the back than inside the tray, as it is easier subsequently to slide the Crisps off if you don't have to negotiate the rim of the tray at the same time).
  • 3. Using a 2" circular pastry-cutter, place the cutter on top of the greaseproof paper and sprinkle a heaped teaspoon of cheese inside the cutter to make a complete disk; make sure the edge of the disk particularly is well covered. (Do NOT press the cheese down into place - it will melt and collapse delicately into itself as it bakes.)
  • 4. Move the cutter along, and repeat the process. Continue until the greaseproof paper is covered in cheese disks. Leave a few millimetres between each disk - they don't spread in baking like biscuits do.
  • 5. Bake at 175C for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. They start to brown when they stop bubbling, so watch them carefully. When golden brown transfer them to a wire rack to cool and crisp. Store in an air-tight container, and try not to eat too many before you have to serve them to your guests!
  • Enjoy.

1 clove garlic, peeled
1 cup coarsely grated Parmesan

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut baguette at a sharp angle into 1 1/2-inch slices. Spread both sides with butter, if desired, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Toast in oven until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  • Rub garlic clove on one side of each toast and top with a sprinkling of cheese. Return to oven and toast until cheese is crisp and golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Turn heat down to 350 degrees if toast begins to brown too fast. Serve warm or at room temperature.
