CROCK POT SESAME CHICKEN RECIPE
Our Crock Pot Sesame Chicken Recipe is an easy low carb way to make the take out favorite. The savory sesame flavors slow cook throughout the dish producing a tender fall a part chicken every time. Carb lovers enjoy this with fried rice, while those with a low carb lifestyle enjoy these with fried cauliflower rice, steamed broccoli or sauteed whole green beans.

Steps:
- Pour butter into a browning slow cooker or skillet.
- Salt and pepper chicken and brown on both sides.
- In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
- In the slow cooker, pour the mixture over top of the chicken and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until tender.
- Broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes on each side to crisp up skin (or air fry in Foodi/Air Fryer).

Steps:
- Place the chicken breasts (or thighs) in the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ketchup, honey, sesame oil, garlic, black pepper (and red pepper flakes, if using). Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1½-2½ hours, or until chicken is cooked through to 165° F. If using boneless chicken thighs, cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-4 hours.
- Remove the chicken to a clean bowl or cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, stir together the 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the sauce in the slow cooker and stir. Cook on high for 10-20 minutes, until sauce thickens slightly.
- Shred the chicken and return it to the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Serve chicken and sauce over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

- Spread chicken into the crock of a slow cooker.
- Stir honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced onion, vegetable oil, and garlic powder together in a bowl; pour over the chicken.
- Cook on Low until the chicken is tender, 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove chicken from the sauce in the slow cooker to a cutting board. Stir water and cornstarch together to dissolve cornstarch completely; pour into the sauce in the slow cooker until smooth.

- Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix 1/4 cup chicken broth, the honey, 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce, the rice vinegar, sesame oil, gingerroot, garlic and red pepper. Add chicken and mix to coat; transfer to slow cooker.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. In small bowl, mix cornstarch and remaining 2 tablespoons chicken broth; stir into slow cooker. Cover; cook on High heat setting 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly around edges and starting to thicken.
- Add remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce and the broccoli to slow cooker, mixing to coat broccoli with sauce mixture; cover and continue cooking 10 to 15 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Stir in cashews. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seed, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve with cooked white rice.

- Cut chicken breasts into bite sized pieces then place in the slow cooker.
- Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, ketchup, honey, dark brown sugar, garlic powder, crushed red chili pepper in a bowl and stir to combine.
- Pour mixture over chicken, add the lid then set the slow cooker on high for 3 hours.
- Once chicken is cooked keep the crock pot on high, whisk corn starch into about ¼ cup of water then stir into the chicken mixture the crock pot. Within about 10 minutes the sauce will thicken.
- Serve with sesame seeds on top!

- Place the chicken breasts in the Crockpot.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the soy sauce, ketchup, honey, sesame oil, diced onion, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on Low for 3 to 4 hours or on High for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, until the chicken is cooked through (165 F). When done cooking, remove the chicken from the Crockpot, and place it in a bowl or on a cutting board to rest.
- Stir together the cornstarch and water, and add to the liquid in the Crockpot. Turn the Crockpot back on High, and cook the sauce for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened.

- Place chicken crock pot.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and tomato sauce.
- Pour sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on low for about 5 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Remove to a plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- To Freeze: Cool, bag, label and freeze(package sesame seeds separate and add when reheating).
- To Serve: Warm in microwave to desired temperature and top with the sesame seeds.
- Note: To toast sesame seeds: Preheat oven to 350°. Spread sesame seeds in a 9-inch pie or cake pan. Toast about 5 minutes or until golden. Or toast seeds in a dry skillet over low heat 3 or 4 minutes.
