COFFEE MUG CAKE

Steps:

• Stir 1 tablespoon softened butter and white sugar together in a coffee mug until fluffy; stir egg, sour cream, and vanilla extract into the butter mixture. Add 1/4 cup flour and baking powder into the mixture; stir until smooth.
• Mix 2 tablespoons flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Mash 1 tablespoon butter into the flour mixture with a fork or pastry cutter until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over the cake batter in the mug.
• Cook in microwave oven on high for 1 minute. Continue cooking in 10-second intervals until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

DANGEROUS MUG CAKE

Steps:

• You will also need: 1 coffee mug.
• Spray inside of mug lightly with cooking spray.
• Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
• Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
• Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
• Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
• The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired or you can eat it right out of the mug and a scoop of ice cream is a nice way to top this dessert off.
• You can put all the dry ingredients into snack size zip lock bags and tuck them into a mug (along with this recipe) to give it as a gift. Just make sure that the cup is microwave safe and holds 1 1/2 cup.

DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE CAKE-IN-A-MUG

Steps:

• Add dry ingredients to large coffee mug, mix well with a fork.
• Add egg, mix thoroughly. Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well. Add chips, if using.
• Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts. Cake will rise over top of mug--do not be alarmed! Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired. Eat!

• Pour in the milk, oil and mix well.
• Add the chocolate chips if using, and vanilla extract: mix again.
• Put your Coffee mug in the micorwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
• The Cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed.
• Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!!!
• * I've used applesauce in place of the vegetable oil for a lighter version. Just as wonderful.

• Use a microwaveable coffee mug.
• Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
• Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
• Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
• Add the chocolate chips and vanilla flavouring. . and mix again.
• Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 1 minute or until middle is slightly ferm at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
• Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
• This can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.

DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE CAKE-IN-A-MUG (MADE BETTER)

Steps:

• Add dry ingredients to the mug; mix well with a fork. Add egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in milk, oil, and vanilla, and mix well. Add chips, if using. Drizzle chocolate syrup over top.
• Put mug in the microwave, and cook for three minutes at 1,000 watts. Cake will rise over the top of the mug -- do not be alarmed. When finished, carefully remove mug from microwave and allow to cool a little. Tip onto a small plate prior to serving, if desired. Yields one generous serving or two "more virtuous" servings. Drizzle with more chocolate syrup if desired.
