DAVE'S LOW COUNTRY BOIL
Famous in the Low Country of Georgia and South Carolina. This boil is done best on an outdoor cooker. It has sausage, shrimp, crab, potatoes and corn for an all-in-one pot all-you-can-eat buffet!

Steps:
- Heat a large pot of water over an outdoor cooker, or medium-high heat indoors. Add Old Bay Seasoning to taste, and bring to a boil. Add potatoes, and sausage, and cook for about 10 minutes. Add the corn and crab; cook for another 5 minutes, then add the shrimp when everything else is almost done, and cook for another 3 or 4 minutes.
- Drain off the water and pour the contents out onto a picnic table covered with newspaper. Grab a paper plate and a beer and enjoy!

Steps:
- Fill a large pot with water, then add the crab boil seasoning (depending on the size of pot, you may need to adjust the seasoning to your taste) and lemons and bring to a boil (this can be done on a grill or indoors). Add the potatoes, kielbasa and onions and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Add the corn and cook an additional 5 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook until just cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Drain and serve immediately with the melted butter and cornbread.
LOW-COUNTRY BOIL

- Fill a 7-gallon stockpot halfway with water (or use 2 large pots and divide the ingredients between them). Add the seasoning and bring to a rolling boil. Add the whole potatoes to the pot. Allow the water to return to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Add the onions and sausage. Bring the water back to a boil and cook 15 minutes. Add the corn, bring the water back to a boil and cook 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are done.
- Add the shrimp, bring the water back to a boil and cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes. Drain through a colander; discard the liquid. Serve on newspaper or a platter.

- In a Dutch oven, combine the water, beer, seafood seasoning and salt; add potatoes and onion. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add corn and chorizo; simmer until potatoes and corn are tender, 10-12 minutes longer., Meanwhile, in a small skillet, heat oil. Add the garlic, cumin, cilantro, paprika and pepper. Had this while DH and I were in Savannah and I picked up their recipe. They post it everywhere and it's served at almost all the restaurants.

- Boil up to a gallon of water in a stock pot.
- Add the first 5 ingredients to the water.
- Next add in your sausage and potatoes and boil until almost tender.
- Next add your corn on the cob and crab (if you decide to add crab)heat thru for 5 minutes.
- Lower your water to a simmer and add your shrimp and simmer until shrimp turn pink - don't over cook the shrimp.
- You're all done and if you so desire, you can add your pepper sauce. Goes great with cole slaw and crusty bread on the side. Hope you enjoy.
- *Note* I'm not much for kielbasa so I have used Turkey Sausage and that works great too.

PAULA DEEN LOW-COUNTRY BOIL
This is Paula Deen's recipe for a Low-Country Boil that was in the Women's Wold Magazine. I bought the magazine because the picture of this meal on the cover. Since I don't eat pork I used Turkey Kielbasa and it was delicious! Next time I will double the Kielbasa since it was the kids favorite part. Thank you Paula!

- Fill large pot with enough water to cover ingredients. Over high heat bring to a boil; add lemon and 1 Tbs. Old Bay seasoning for each quart of water. Reduce heat to medium; add potatoes and sausage. Cook until potatoes start to soften, about 10 minutes.
- Add corn; cook until almost tender, about 7 minutes. Add shrimp; cook until opaque and just cooked through, 2-3 minutes. Drain.
- Meanwhile, in microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and garlic; microwave on High in 15 second intervals until melted. Stir in parsley. Serve Low-Country Boil with Butter mixture and warm bread, if desired. (I pour butter mixture over corn).
