The Pioneer Woman's classic Waffle recipe for Food Network is the perfect way to feed a hungry breakfast crowd.

Steps:
- Preheat the waffle iron to the regular setting.
- Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla and 2 egg yolks. Pour over the dry ingredients and very gently stir until halfway combined. Pour in the melted butter and continue mixing very gently until combined.
- In a separate bowl using a whisk (or a mixer), beat the 4 egg whites until stiff. Slowly fold them into the batter, stopping short of mixing them all the way through.
- Scoop the batter into your waffle iron in batches and cook according to its directions (lean toward the waffles being a little deep golden and crisp!). Serve immediately with softened butter and warm syrup.
CLASSIC CRISPY WAFFLES
The secret to these super-crispy waffles is using a little vegetable shortening. Make a large batch on the weekend, then grab and reheat on a rushed morning.

Steps:
- Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (to keep cooked waffles warm). Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Whisk together the milk, butter, shortening and eggs in another bowl. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and gently stir until just incorporated (it's okay if there are some lumps).
- Lightly brush the top and bottom of the waffle iron with butter. Fill the waffle iron about three-quarters of the way full (some waffle iron should still be showing). Close the lid gently and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, 6 to 7 minutes. Keep the cooked waffles warm in the oven or covered with foil on a plate while you make the remaining waffles.
- Serve with maple syrup, butter, sugar or fruit preserves.

YEAST WAFFLES
This is a traditional waffle recipe. It makes tasty, crunchy waffles. They are very good with syrup, or my personal favorite is waffles topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries!

- Waffle Iron Churros. Who says you have to stick to a waffle batter when making waffles? As long as you have an iron waffle, anything goes. This phenomenal dessert tastes just like churros, only, it takes the form of waffles.
- Cake Batter Dessert Waffles With Ice Cream. Think Funfetti cake, but in waffle form, plus ice cream on top. It’s the perfect dessert for sweet tooths!
- Chocolate Waffle Cookie Dessert. Is it a cookie or a waffle? Who cares what it’s called? The only important thing is that it’s delectable. A double chocolate chip dough is cooked in a waffle iron, creating unique cookies with a wonderful checkered design.
- Triple Decker Fudgy Chocolate Waffle Pie. I can’t believe it took me so long to realize that you can turn waffles into a layer cake. This idea is genius!
- Elvis Dessert Waffles. To say that these dessert waffles are fully loaded is an understatement. Crisp waffles are smothered with jam, peanut butter, fresh raspberries, praline peanuts, whipped cream, ice cream, and delectable bananas brulee for a tremendous dessert.
- Brownie Waffles. While classic brownies are already awesome, this version is even more exceptional. Cooking the brownie batter in a waffle maker creates a lovely, crisp outer crust.
- Banana Pudding Dessert Waffles. Vanilla waffles are topped with bananas and vanilla pudding. Finished off with whipped cream, this is a delicious banana pudding disguised as waffles.
- Ice Cream Waffle Sundae. This isn’t simply waffles topped with ice cream, folks. Instead, the waffle batter itself contains melted ice cream (any flavor works), creating a sinful and heavenly treat.
- Snickers Peanut Butter Dessert Waffles. Are you a sucker for Snickers Extreme Peanut Butter? Then you’ll fall in love with these dessert waffles. Peanut Butter Snickers are present in both the waffle batter AND the topping, so its flavor definitely shines through.
- Butterfinger Dessert Waffle. Here’s another amazing recipe that showcases one of my favorite candy bars. Chocolate waffles are studded with Butterfinger pieces and topped with chocolate, caramel, whipped cream, and even more Butterfinger pieces.
