Turn instant coffee, sugar, milk, and water into a decadent at-home treat. Creamy and silky, this whipped coffee, also known as dalgona coffee, is an absolute delight.

3 tablespoons instant coffee
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons hot water
1 1/4 cups whole milk
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Add the instant coffee, sugar and hot or boiling water to large liquid measuring cup. Whip with an electric hand mixer or immersion blender for about 5 to 7 minutes or until the mixture is completely fluffy and has lightened in color. We used one beater on the hand mixer so it would fit into the measuring cup well. Whisk in the vanilla at the end if you are adding.
  • Divide the milk amongst two glasses and top with ice.
  • Split the whipped coffee over the top of each glass and serve immediately.

2 tablespoons hot water
1 cup of your favorite type of milk

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the instant espresso or coffee, sugar and hot water. Whisk until thickened and frothy, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Pour the milk into a glass filled with ice. Top with the whipped coffee. Stir with a straw or spoon to combine.

Steps:

  • Pull two shots of espresso into a small bowl.
  • Add 2-3 tsp of your favourite granulated sweetener - granulated sugar, or a sugar-free sweetener like granulated monk fruit.
  • Blend until the mixture is foamy and a light caramel colour.
  • Add ice and milk to a glass and spoon over the whipped coffee mixture.
  • Enjoy with a straw, or mix it together before drinking.
