  1. skim milk
  2. nonfat dry milk powder
  3. banana
  4. vanilla extract
  5. ground cinnamon


  1. freeze an overripe banana , peeled and wrapped , 12 to 24 hours before making this shake
  2. puree all the ingredients in a blender
  3. serve immediately
  4. berry variation: add 1 / 2 cup berries , fresh or unsweetened frozen , and 1 tablespoon frozen apple juice concentrate before blending
  5. omit the cinnamon , if desired
  6. "creamsicle" variation: add 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
  7. omit the cinnamon
  8. 1 shake = 2 calcium servings
  9. 2 / 3 protein serving
  10. 1 other fruit serving
  11. berry variation adds 1 other fruit serving , 1 vitamin c serving if strawberries are used
  12. "creamsicle" variation adds 1 / 2 vitamin c serving
