Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.
  • Stir rice portion of packaged rice mix into beef; cook and stir until rice is lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Pour water into beef and rice, stir seasoning packet from rice into mixture, and cover skillet. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the liquid has been almost completely absorbed, about 30 minutes.

Steps:

1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 cup uncooked long grain white rice

⅔ cup water
1 cube beef bouillon
1 (12 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (11 ounce) can sweet corn, drained
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (6 ounce) package (1 ounce each) mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Place the ground beef, onion, garlic, and green bell pepper in a saucepan over medium heat, and cook until beef is evenly brown. Drain grease.

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup or 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of asparagus soup
1 1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped celery
black pepper
1/4 cup onion, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped fine (optional)

Steps:

  • Brown beef with onion (if using) and drain.
  • Add rice, soup, water, celery, peppers (if using), salt and black pepper, mix well.
  • Place in greased two-quart casserole dish and bake, covered, for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  • Serve and enjoy!

1 lb ground beef (I like 93/7)
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes (preferably with garlic)
1 large yellow onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt or garlic salt, to taste
1 pinch ground cloves
1 dash cooking sherry
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup short vermicelli
1 cup long grain rice
2 1/2 cups water

Steps:

  • - Saute onion and garlic in olive oil in large sauce pan.
  • - Add beef to brown, after almost cooked mash with potato hand masher until finely ground
  • - Pour in canned tomatoes with juice.
  • - Add all spices
  • - Simmer 20 minutes while rice cooks.
  • - Add sherry last five minutes.
  • Rice:.
  • - Saute vermicelli in butter.
  • - After it has browned add rice and water and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • - Cover and cook till soft, you may need to add more water.
  • - When done, serve beef over rice.

  • Bring the rice and water to a boil in a pot. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 20 minutes.

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme or 1/4 teaspoon sage (crushed)
