EASY BISCUIT DOUGHNUTS
Using a tube of refrigerated biscuit dough, you can whip up a batch of cinnamon sugar doughnuts. After frying the dough rings, toss them with cinnamon sugar. Serve your homemade donuts warm with a mug of your favorite brewed coffee.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Fill a wide, shallow pan with 1 inch of oil. Heat the oil to 370°F.
- Meanwhile, arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet. Using a 1-inch-diameter round cookie cutter, cut out the center of each biscuit. (Save the scraps to make bite-size doughnut holes.)
- Drop the doughnuts into the hot oil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning doughnuts if necessary. Transfer the doughnuts immediately to a baking sheet lined with paper towels and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm.

Steps:
- Add sugar and cinnamon to a small bowl and mix well. Make sure the bowl is big enough to hold your donuts.
- Add oil to a small saucepan. You'll need about 2″ of oil. Heat on medium heat until hot.
- Meanwhile, use an apple corer to cut a hole into each of the biscuits. Drop biscuits into hot oil, one at a time, cooking for 1 minute on each side. This is essential. If you go by "looks" your donuts will probably be doughy/uncooked in the center. It seems like a minute is a long time and they tend to get pretty dark in the oil, but it's enough time to cook each side. Flip when 1 minute is up and continue to cook on the other side for 1 minute. Remove from oil carefully and place onto a plate lined with paper towels. Let set for another 2 minutes before dunking the hot donuts into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Coat all sides evenly.

- Heat vegetable oil on medium-high heat in a deep fry pan. I use a smaller 4 court pan to preserve oil (the wider your pan, the more oil you will have to use to deep fry)
- Open your can of biscuits and lay flat on a cutting board. Take your shot glass or baby bottle and press the open end in down on the dough to cut out a hole in the middle, do this for all 8 biscuits, keep cut out middles to make doughnut holes.
- By the time you get done prepping your biscuits, your oil should be ready. To test drop one of the biscuit middles in the hot oil, if it bubbles it is ready for you to fill the oil. Do not over fill, you don’t want them to overlap.
