There's several things which affect how the frozen egg rolls cook. They all vary in size, thickness, type of filling, thickness & type of wrapper so you'll have to adjust timing. For best and even cooking, don't overcrowd the basket. Fill just an even single layer. Cook in batches if needed.We found it best to initially cook at a lower temperature to heat through the center. Then finish for a few minutes hotter, to crisp the outside of the egg rolls.All air fryers are different and some cook much hotter than others. Once you cook your first batch, you'll know more of what works for your model of air fryer and size of food. These were tested on basket style air fryers. Read more recipe notes below the recipe. Nutrition will vary depending on individual egg roll types.

8 Frozen Egg Rolls

Steps:

  • Place the frozen egg rolls in the air fryer basket and spread out into a single even layer. No oil spray is needed.
  • Air Fry at 340°F/170°C for 10 minutes. Flip the egg rolls over.
  • Increase heat to 400°F/205°C and Air Fry for another 2-5 minutes or until cooked through and crispy.

8 frozen egg rolls, any variety

Steps:

  • Add the egg rolls to the air fryer basket in a single layer with space between each egg roll for air to flow.
  • Spritz the egg rolls lightly with oil spray for a crisper texture.
  • Air fry at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
  • Flip egg rolls over and increase heat to 400 degrees. Air fry for 2 more minutes or until as crisp as you'd like.

2 cups hot water
3 cups fresh bean sprouts
1 pound ground chicken
6 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 jar (11 ounces) Chinese-style sauce or duck sauce, divided
1 tablespoon fish sauce or soy sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 package (14 ounces) coleslaw mix
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
18 egg roll wrappers

Steps:

  • Pour hot water over bean sprouts in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Drain., Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook chicken over medium heat until no longer pink, 6-8 minutes, breaking into crumbles. Add green onions, ginger and garlic. Cook 1 minute longer; drain. Stir in 1/2 cup Chinese-style sauce, fish sauce and soy sauce; transfer to a large bowl. Wipe pan clean., In the same pan, cook and stir coleslaw mix, spinach and drained bean sprouts until crisp-tender, 4-5 minutes. Stir into chicken mixture. Cool slightly., Preheat air fryer to 400°. With one corner of an egg roll wrapper facing you, place 1/3 cup filling just below center of wrapper. (Cover remaining wrappers with a damp paper towel until ready to use.) Fold bottom corner over filling; moisten remaining wrapper edges with water. Fold side corners toward center over filling. Roll egg roll up tightly, pressing at tip to seal. Repeat., In batches, arrange egg rolls in a single layer in greased air-fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 8-12 minutes. Turn; spritz with additional cooking spray. Cook golden brown, 4-6 minutes longer. Serve with remaining Chinese-style sauce.
