Frozen pork loin in Instant Pot is easier than you think! Yes! You can now cook rock hard frozen pork in your pressure cooker to tender in no time.

1 pork loin (or tenderloin, 2 lbs is what was used in both cases, if larger you'd need to increase time)
3/4 c water (or broth)
1/4 c soy sauce
2 tbsp Sherry (cooking wine)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1.5 tsp minced onion (dried)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • Whisk together all ingredients and pour into pressure cooker.
  • Unwrap your frozen pork loin and place it into your pot.
  • Close lid and steam valve and set to high pressure for 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of natural releasing the steam.
  • Open lid, lift loin out and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Pour juice from pot on top once sliced and served with mashed potatoes or other sides.

Instant Pot Frozen Pork Loin. How to cook pork loin in the instant pot pressure cooker from frozen. Grab a frozen pork loin and let's transform it into a delicious instant pot pork loin with sweet potatoes and homemade apple gravy.

6 Medium Apples
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
480 ml Pork Stock
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Thyme
Salt & Pepper

Steps:

  • Hold your pork loin over the instant pot and check to see if it will fit. If it doesn't trim a little off the end until it is a perfect size. You can then use the excess pork loin for another meal.
  • Peel and dice your apples and sauté in the instant pot with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After about 5 minutes add in honey, thyme and deglaze with pork stock.
  • Load frozen pork loin into the instant pot and lay it over the apple loaded stock. Season well with salt and pepper. Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and cook for 70 minutes on meat/stew.
  • When the instant pot beeps, allow 10 minutes of natural pressure release and then manually release pressure.
  • Allow to rest for 5 minutes on your clean chopping board. While it rests drain the fat from the instant pot and load everything else into the blender and blend to make a delicious pork gravy. Load sliced pork loin onto plates and serve with your pork gravy and any sides. For example, we had ours with cubed sweet potatoes.

When the main component of dinner is frozen solid, it's often easier to order carry-out, but this recipe takes advantage of frozen pork chops. I buy my seasonings from the Savory Spice® Shop, although feel free to use what you have on hand.

2 tablespoons butter
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon garlic base (such as Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Garlic Base)
½ cup water
2 teaspoons all-purpose seasoning (such as Savory Spice® Wash Park Seasoning)
1 ½ teaspoons shallot salt (such as Savory Spice® Supreme Shallot Salt)
1 ¼ pounds bone-in, thick-cut, frozen pork chops
6 ounces portobello mushrooms, quartered
¼ cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon browning sauce

Steps:

  • Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add butter once the pot is hot. Add onion and stir frequently until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add garlic base and pour in water. Stir to combine.
  • Mix all-purpose seasoning and shallot salt together in a bowl and sprinkle on both sides of the pork chops. Nestle pork chops on top of the onion. Hit Cancel. Seal and lock the lid into place.
  • Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 13 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  • Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions for 12 minutes. Release remaining pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
  • Remove pork chops to a plate. Hit Cancel and switch to Saute function. Add mushrooms and stir.
  • Whisk whipping cream, flour, and browning sauce together in a measuring cup. Add mixture to the Instant Pot®. Allow to thicken slightly, about 3 minutes. Ladle mushroom gravy on top of pork chops. Serve immediately.

2 teaspoons olive oil
1 (2 pound) pork tenderloin, or to taste
1 teaspoon Greek seasoning
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup apple juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Steps:

  • Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Heat olive oil until shimmering, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Season pork tenderloin with Greek seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add to the preheated pot and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate. Pour apple juice into the pot; scrape up any pork bits left on the bottom. Set rack inside the pot and place tenderloin on the rack.
  • Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 10 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  • Release pressure using the natural-release method for 10 minutes according to manufacturer's instructions. Quick-release any remaining pressure. Unlock and remove the lid. Lift out tenderloin and set aside to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, remove 1/4 cup of the liquid from the pot and mix with cornstarch to make a slurry. Pour slurry back into the pot. Select Saute function and simmer sauce until thickened, about 5 minutes. Slice pork and drizzle sauce on top.
