Ingredients

One 750-milliliter bottle rose wine, chilled
2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved, plus extra for garnish
1/2 cup superfine sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice (from about 3 lemons)

Steps:

Pour the rose, strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn on the coldest setting until thick and slushy, 45 minutes to 1 hour (see Cook's Note). Pour into wine glasses and garnish with strawberries.

1 pound strawberries, hulled
½ cup white sugar
½ cup water
1 (750 milliliter) bottle Malbec red wine

Steps:

Place strawberries, sugar, and water into blender and blend until the mixture is smooth.
Pour mixture into a 9x13-inch baking pan; stir in the wine.
Freeze, stirring once about halfway through, until mixture is slushy, 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
Remove from freezer and stir to breakup the larger frozen clumps.

Add strawberries, remove from heat, and let sit 30 minutes to infuse syrup with strawberry flavor. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl (do not press on solids); cover and chill until cold, about 30 minutes.
Scrape rosé into a blender. Add lemon juice, 3½ ounces strawberry syrup, and 1 cup crushed ice and purée until smooth. Transfer blender jar to freezer and freeze until frosé is thickened (aim for milkshake consistency), 25–35 minutes.
