3 egg whites
⅛ tsp cream of tartar
½ cup freshly shredded onion-flavored cheese (frozen)
2 teaspoons onion powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Put the frozen cheese in a food processor/blender and chop, until it's in tiny little pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the whites with cream of tartar until VERY stiff peaks form. With a rubber spatula, fold cheese and onion powder into the egg whites, VERY CAREFULLY, being careful not to disturb the fluffy whites, but thoroughly spread the cheese, throughout.
  • Carefully place the mixture into a large Ziplock baggie, cut a ½ inch hole in the corner of baggie. Gently squeeze onto cookie sheet in FUNYUN-like shapes. Line a baking sheet with a greased sheet of parchment paper.
  • Bake at 300 degrees, for 20-30 minutes. The longer you can bake them (without them getting too brown), the crispier they will be. For even crispier puffs, turn off the oven, and leave them in the oven for at least 30-minutes. Store in a tightly sealed, air-tight container.

Oil for cooking chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breast, chunked
Seasoning for chicken
4 cups cooked rice
1 big can cream of chicken/mushroom soup (or 1 small can of both)
1 big bag Funyuns, crushed
1 can cooked vegetables (add if desired)

Steps:

  • Cover bottom of non-stick skillet with oil and heat. Add chunked chicken and seasonings (I prefer seasoned salt, garlic salt & lemon pepper). Cook till chicken is done (about 8-10 minutes).
  • Cover bottom of casserole dish evenly with 1/2 of the cooked rice then add 1/2 of the cooked and seasoned chicken. Pour 1/2 of the chicken/mushroom soup evenly over the rice and chicken. Repeat the before instructions.
  • Cook in oven on about 300°F till soup is hot (about 5-10 minutes). Take out and let cool for a few minutes. Cover evenly with crushed Funyuns right before serving. ENJOY!

A had this a lot during my pregnancy but an unpregnant co-worker soon fell under it's spell & ate them with me. Very delicious, addicting & easy. You've just got to try it. Connoisseur's & picky eater's beware! What you see is what you get...pure bliss :)

1 (7 ounce) bag of frito-lay Funyuns onion flavored rings (funsize)
2 slices white bread or 2 slices buns
2 slices swiss cheese

Steps:

  • You may try & toast bread if preferred but I always had it with a bun untoasted & warmed in the microwave.
  • Place slice of swiss cheese on bread, then desired number of funyuns (make sure enough to cover cheese)then top with 2nd slice of cheese.
  • You can either microwave sandwich until cheese melts or place in oven/toaster oven until cheese melts.
  • Slice & Enjoy!

Funyuns Sliders Recipe - A fabulous cheesy beef slider recipe with a boost of flavor from crushed Funyuns! These little sandwiches make tasty party snacks.

2 pounds ground beef
1 bag Funyuns ((6 ounces))
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
20 small yeast rolls
1 cup sweet pickles
5 slices American cheese
Butter (for griddle)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and barbecue sauce together until smooth. Cut the rolls open for sandwiches. Then cut the cheese slices into 4 squares, 20 total. Remove 30 Funyuns from the bag and set aside. Crush the remaining Funyuns, in the bag, into crumbs. You should have about 1 1/2 cups Funyuns crumbs.
  • Preheat a griddle (or grill) to medium heat, between 375-400 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, shredded cheese, Funyuns crumbs, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper. Mix well. Then use a 3 tablspoon cookie scoop to portion out 20 balls. Flatten the balls into patties, 1/2-inch thick.
  • If using a griddle, butter the griddle and toast the interior of the rolls for 30-60 seconds, until golden. Remove the rolls. Then butter the griddle again and add the slider patties. Cook the patties for 3 minutes. Then flip, add a small cheese slice to each patty, and continue cooking another 3 minutes. *If using a grill, skip the butter for both the rolls and the patties.
  • Meanwhile, place a small dollop of barbecue mayo to the bottom portion of each roll. As the cooked patties come off the griddle, place a patty of each roll and top with another Funyun and a sweet pickle. Then cover the sliders with the roll tops. Serve warm.

This is a simple meatloaf recipe with funyun's used as the breading instead of crackers or breadcrumbs! It gives a nice taste without having to use much seasonings outside of the chips.

1 lb. ground beef (or turkey or chicken)
1 oz. bag of Funyuns
1 egg
1-2 tbsp of Soy Sauce
dash of garlic powder
1/2 tbsp Seasoning Salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Crush Funyuns as small as possible. This is easiest by crushing while in the bag with a spoon. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray. Move meat mixture to dish and form into a loaf. Bake for 30 minutes or until center of loaf is no longer pink.
  • Makes 8 1-inch wide pieces.
