GARLIC ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES

- Bake garlic bread according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in Worcestershire sauce., Layer each half of garlic bread with roast beef, mushroom mixture and cheese. Return to oven; bake for 3-5 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.

GARLIC ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES
This is from a Taste of Home recipe magazine. Originally submitted by Bridget Evans of Forreston, IL. This is a super simple and tasty recipe for a busy weeknight. The recipe calls for a loaf of garlic bread but I used the presliced texas toast type frozen garlic bread and it worked out perfectly. I also used chipotle cheddar sliced cheese which was tasty too. Loved this recipe so much I had to post it.

Steps:
- Bake garlic gread according to package directions.
- Meanwhile; in a large skillet, saute the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in butter until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
- Layer each half of garlic bread with roast beef, mushroom mixture and cheese.
- Return to oven.
- Bake 1 or 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve immediately.

- Slice the roast into thin or thick slices as desired.
- Warm the slices of roast in microwave or oven.
- Heat the gravy in the microwave or on the stove top.
- Add minced, sauteed onions and seasonings to the warmed gravy, if desired.
- Lightly toast or leave untoasted the sliced bread.
- Lay two slices of the sliced bread side-by-side on each plate.
- Lay one slice of warmed meat on each slice of bread.
- Pour desired amount of warmed, seasoned gravy over both slices of bread and meat.
- Serve at once or reheat each plate in the microwave.

- Cut the French bread in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, Parmesan and parsley. Mix well. Spread half of the butter mixture on each half of the cut side of the bread. Put the bread buttered sides together and wrap the loaf in foil. Place in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high. Add the mushrooms and onions and cook until softened, 10-15 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 60 seconds, then add the Worcestershire sauce. Turn off the heat.
- When the bread is warmed through, remove and place on a large baking sheet, buttered sides facing up. Put half of the roast beef on each side, followed by half of the mushroom mixture on each side. Top with the cheese. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, 3-5 minutes. Cut each piece into 3 pieces to serve.
