GEORGIA SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE
This is a must have for all family gatherings with us. I always get request for it and always bring home an empty dish! It's not too sweet and the perfect addition to turkey or my favorite, HAM! My mother eats it as a dessert, but I prefer letting it share the spotlight with the main dish!! You cannot go wrong! Try it just once....

Steps:
- 1. EASY! Preheat your oven to 350, this is gonna go quick!! Just mix the first six ingredients together and place in your baking dish.
- 2. For the topping: Mix brown sugar, flour and chopped pecans. Sprinkle on the top of your potato mixture. Drizzle this with your melted butter.
- 3. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. If you are using a smaller dish it will be thicker and may need a little longer in the oven. I usually prepare mine in a 9X13 pan.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Peel potatoes and boil until soft (35-40 minutes).
- Mash and add remaining ingredients.
- Beat well and place in a buttered casserole.
- Dot top with butter slices.
- Bake 35 minutes at 350F degrees (until brown).

Wow! This recipe is really different...we thought the combination of sausage w/apple and potato pretty strange.....would not reccomend this one. :)

Steps:
- Boil sweet potatoes in their skins. Peel and cut into strips lengthwise and put in bottom of casserole.
- Brown sausage on both sides in frying pan; place over potatoes and cover with sliced apples.
- Mix sausage fat, hot water, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over all.
- Bake at 350* for 40 minutes. Keep covered until last 10 minutes.
