Ingredients

3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup white sugar
½ cup milk
⅓ stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces and softened
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup shredded coconut
⅓ stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces and softened

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Mix mashed sweet potatoes, white sugar, milk, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt together; transfer potato mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Mix brown sugar and flour for topping together in a large bowl. Add pecans, coconut, and butter; mix until well combined. Sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake in the preheated oven until topping is golden brown, about 25 minutes.

1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
2 1/2-3 lbs baking potatoes
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
paprika (to garnish)
3 ounces softened cream cheese

Steps:

Stir together cream cheese, garlic salt, pepper, and sour cream until smooth. Set aside.
Prepare and boil quartered potatoes, drain. Mash into fine lumps.
Combine potatoes and sour cream mixture. beat until smooth.
Transfer into well buttered dish & bake covered at 400 degrees for 25 minutes If dish is refrigerated 50 minutes.
Uncover & bake for 10 addition minutes to achieve golden brown.

My Grandmother all way's made this recipe,for Thankgiving,Christmas,and Easter Sunday.When she became to ill to cook she made sure ,I took over the holiday cooking .One of my twin brothers,all way,s ask's for this as his choice of a dish....As I put it together and put it in the oven ,I still can see her as she fixed this...

Ingredients

3 c mashed sweet potatoes-( i used canned whole one's drain well)
1/2 stick real butter-melted
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 Tbsp good vanilla extract
1 c sugar
1/2 c of half and half cream
2 large eggs -beaten
TOPPING FOR CASSEROLE
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 stick butter soften (use real butter)
1/3 c flour (i use self rising)
1 c chopped pecans or walnuts

Steps:

1. Mix the mashed Sweet Potatoes ,butter,salt vanilla extract,sugar,milk,and the beaten eggs together and pour into a casserole dish that has been sprayed with non stick spray....Then MIX the topping and spread on top of the Sweet Potatoe Casserole .Bake at 350 degrees and Bake for 35 to 40 minutes ...
2. Pour Sweet Potatoe mixer into casserole dish.
3. Mix topping for casserole.
4. Sprinkle mixed topping over the casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
5. After it comes out of the oven, let it set for 20 to 25 minutes before serving.
