Pillsbury Grands Doughnuts (Bakery Size) image

Big, bakery-size doughnuts made from Pillsbury Grands biscuits. I have made lots with the regular-size biscuit, but they don't compare to these. Look and taste great! My husband said " Oh! you went to the bakery?"

1 (16 ounce) can Pillsbury Grands refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
9 cups oil, for deep fryer
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cinnamon
1 (16 ounce) can icing
candy sprinkles (optional)

Steps:

Cut holes in biscuits (I used a lid to a large salt shaker 1-3/8" in diameter, worked great).
Heat oil to 375°F.
Mix cinnamon and sugar. Use extra cinnamon if you want. You can also add nutmeg,if desired.
Drop 4 biscuits in deep fryer and cook with lid shut, about 3 minutes each side, or till brown as you like them.
Remove to paper towel-lined plate.
Roll immediately in sugar and cinnamon.
If you are going to ice them, wait till they cool, You can also use sprinkles on icing. Enjoy!

1 Cup Sugar
1 Tbs Cinnamon
Cooking Spray
1 Can of Biscuits
1/2 Stick Melted Butter
6 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 tablespoons hot water
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. Meanwhile, lay out the biscuits and cut a hole in the center. You can use a shot glass or a cookie cutter.
Spray the biscuits lightly with cooking spray. Place the biscuits in the air fryer and bake for 4-6 minutes or until browned.
Remove from air fryer and place the air fried donut on a cooling rack.
In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dip the air fryer donuts from biscuits into the melted butter and then into the cinnamon sugar mixture.

I got this recipe on TV from Paula Dean. My husband and I couldn't wait to try it, and then we made it on one of our camping trips A great part of the fun of camping is the food in addition to everything else.

1 - can of the large grands biscuits (or 2 cans depending on how many people you have with you
- peanut oil

Steps:

open the can of biscuits and separate all of them
to make a hole in the center of each biscuit, use a bottle cap and push through in the center of each biscuit
you can also save the "holes" to fry
get your oil very hot and put some of the biscuits in the oil. I would probably fry about 3 or 4 at a time.
they will immediately puff up and look just like donuts
fry until brown and then turn over, but watch carefully so they don't burn. You also want to make sure that they are cooked inside
take them out of the oil and let them cool you can either sprinkle them with sugar, powered sugar, cinnamom and sugar combined or make a glaze to pour over
