Find out how to dress up marshmallows as gravestones so you can turn scrumptious chocolate cupcakes into fright-night treats.

24 chocolate cupcakes, baked and cooled
1 container (16 oz.) ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
10 chocolate sandwich cookies, remove filling and crush into fine crumbs
12 JET-PUFFED PUMPKIN SPICE MALLOWS Marshmallows
12 JET-PUFFED STACKERMALLOWS Marshmallows
black food coloring spray can
Halloween sprinkles
black, brown and green edible ink markers

Steps:

  • To make gravestones:
  • Trim edges of vertical STACKERMALLOWS to create gravestone's decorative top. Lay all gravestones on a paper towel and evenly spray food coloring on them. Make sure to move can evenly and quickly over all of them to avoid darker spots. Let dry for 30 minutes. Once dry, use black edible ink marker to decorate each gravestone.
  • To make pumpkins:
  • Use brown edible ink marker to color the pumpkin stem. Use green edible ink marker to draw 2-3 swirly vines on each pumpkin. Repeat for all 12 pumpkins.
  • To decorate cupcakes:
  • Smear about a tablespoon of chocolate frosting on top of each cupcake using a spatula or butter knife. Leave a thicker layer on the very top of the cupcake, this will help the gravestones and pumpkins stay in place when you add them. Immediately after frosting, dip the frosted cupcake onto the cookie crumbs. Make sure to cover top completely. Place pumpkins and gravestones on top of each cupcake. Gently press down marshmallows to make sure they stay in place. Add decorative sprinkles as you wish.
  • Tip: You can also make Jack O' Lanterns from the PUMPKINSPICEMALLOWS using black edible ink markers!

1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
2 (16 ounce) packages vanilla frosting
¾ cup chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs
24 chocolate covered graham cracker cookies

Steps:

  • Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes.
  • In a medium bowl stir 1 package of frosting with the cookie crumbs. Frost cooled cupcakes.
  • Fill a pastry bag, fitted with a plain tip, with remaining white frosting. Write R.I.P. on each chocolate covered graham cracker cookie. Stand a decorated cookie on top of each cupcake so that it looks like a tombstone. Place the cupcakes on a large cookie sheet that has been covered with green paper. Place paper ghosts and bats randomly through the graveyard. Serve!

2 graham cracker rectangles, crushed
2 chocolate graham cracker rectangles, crushed
1 tube (0.68 oz) Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel
12 chocolate creme-filled finger sandwich cookies, cut in half crosswise

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Place black paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups. Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 24 cupcakes, using water, oil and eggs. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • Frost cupcakes with white frosting. Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon graham cracker crumbs to look like dirt. With black decorating gel, pipe desired design on each cookie half. Insert 1 half into each cupcake to look like tombstone.
