I tried these cookie bars at a friend's house and immediately wanted the recipe. These bars are so rich and decadent, but they really couldn't be any easier to make.

30 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®), crushed
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
¾ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
2 tablespoons powdered sugar, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • Mix cookies, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, flour, butter, and vanilla together in a large bowl. Fold in coconut. Press mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, 25 to 30 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.

Halloween Chocolate Covered Oreos image

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 tablespoons vegetable shortening, divided
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup bright white chocolate melting wafers
3/4 cup of orange chocolate melting wafers
Sprinkles, to decorate
Candy Eyes, to decorate

Steps:

  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening-microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir.
  • Microwave for an additional 30 seconds. Stir again. By this point, your chocolate should be smooth and ready to dip.
  • Dip the Oreos one at a time into the chocolate, flipping it over to coat the entire Oreo evenly. Use a fork to remove the Oreo from the chocolate and tap the fork lightly on the bowl's edge to allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place the chocolate covered Oreo on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a baking rack- this will keep it from sticking once the chocolate has cooled.
  • Decorate the Oreo with candy eyes or sprinkles or a drizzle of white or orange chocolate. Make sure to add any decorations before the chocolate has hardened, or they won't stick.
  • Repeat with 9 additional Oreos.
  • Repeat the same melting process for the remaining two chocolates.
  • Place the finished Oreos in the refrigerator and allow them to chill for at least 20 minutes. This will help set the chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

This is really more of a candy than a cookie, but it is always a hit on my cookie trays!!

1 (20 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies with creme filling
2 (18.5 ounce) packages white chocolate

Steps:

  • Line a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan with waxed paper. Coat paper with non-stick vegetable spray and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, break half of the cookies into coarse pieces with fingers or the back of a wooden spoon.
  • In a microwave safe glass or ceramic mixing bowl, melt one package of the white chocolate according to package directions. Remove from microwave and quickly fold in broken cookie pieces. Pour mixture into prepared pan and spread to cover half the pan.
  • Repeat process with remaining chocolate and cookies, spreading mixture into the other half of pan. Refrigerate until solid, about 1 hour.
  • Remove bark from the pan and carefully peel off waxed paper. Place bark on a large cutting board and cut with a large chef's knife. Store in airtight container.

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
2 cups assorted candy, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • Chop your Halloween candy into bite-size pieces.
  • In a large bowl, mix sugars and melted butter, whisk until mix turns lighter (around 8 minutes).
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla, then salt and flour until completely blended.
  • Mix in the candy.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Cut into squares.
  • Enjoy!

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 (4.2-ounce) package instant Oreo Cookies n' Creme pudding mix
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
14 Oreos, crushed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Break the Oreo cookies into chunks. I don't crush the Oreos to dust. I keep quite a few big chunks to keep the Oreo flavor and crunch in the cookies. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together. Add in pudding package and beat until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir flour and baking soda together in small bowl. Add flour mixture slowly to cookie batter until well incorporated. Stir in crushed Oreos and chocolate chips. With a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop 1-inch cookie dough balls onto a baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 12 minutes.

1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 cup M&M's® chocolate candies orange and brown

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 cup butter with spoon. Stir in pecans. Remove 1 cup; set aside for topping. Press remaining mixture into pan.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, cook condensed milk, chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Spread chocolate mixture over crust. Sprinkle with candies and reserved oat mixture; press into chocolate mixture.
  • Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until set.. Cool completely, about 2 1/2 hours. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.
