1(750-ml.) bottle1 (750-ml.) bottle Rioja or Syrah (semi-cheap is just fine)
11 orange, sliced
11 red apple, cored and sliced
11 green apple, cored and sliced
1 1/2cups1 1/2 cups frozen sweet cherries
2cups2 cups chilled club soda
3(11.2-ounce) bottles3 (11.2-ounce) bottles Mike's Hard® Black Cherry Lemonade (chilled)
Ice, as needed
Fake blood drips, optional

Steps:

In a pitcher or bowl, mix wine with fruit. Refrigerate until well-chilled, at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, add the club soda and Mike's Hard Lemonade. Serve immediately (in cups with ice cubes, if desired). Tips: If you'd like to add "fake blood" to the sides of the pitcher or bowl, mix 2 tablespoons corn syrup with a few drops of red food coloring. Spoon it onto the edge of your serving container and let it drip down the sides.

¼ cup water
2 (750 milliliter) bottles Cabernet Sauvignon
4 fluid ounces brandy
1 fluid ounce triple sec
2 apples - peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
1 orange, cut into thin wedges
1 orange, juiced
1 lemon, cut into thin wedges
1 (12 ounce) can citrus-flavored soda (such as Fresca®)

Steps:

Combine sugar and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until water is hot, 30 to 45 seconds. Stir until sugar dissolves into a syrup. Let cool.
Transfer syrup to a large pitcher. Pour in Cabernet Sauvignon, brandy, and triple sec. Add apples, orange wedges, and orange juice. Squeeze juice from lemon wedges into the pitcher; add wedges to the pitcher. Refrigerate until flavors combine, 12 to 24 hours.
Stir citrus-flavored soda into the sangria before serving.

SANGRIA SIMPLE SYRUP:
1 cup sugar
1 cup red wine, such as Merlot or Zinfandel
1 cup dark sweet cherries, stemmed, pitted and halved
1 stick cinnamon
Strips of orange peel from 1 medium orange (orange part only)
SANGRIA COCKTAIL:
Ice cubes
1 1/2 ounces citron vodka
1 ounce clear orange-flavored liqueur
1 ounce sangria simple syrup, chilled
1 dark sweet cherry on a cocktail pick

Steps:

SIMPLE SYRUP: In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, mix sangria simple syrup ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium heat. Simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; let cool 30 minutes. Strain mixture through fine mesh strainer; discard solids. Cover and chill sangria syrup until ready to use. Makes about 1 1/2 cups. COCKTAIL: Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka and orange liqueur to cocktail shaker; cover and shake. Strain into martini glass. Drizzle sangria syrup into cocktail in glass. Garnish with cherry. EXPERT TIPS: Use a vegetable peeler to remove strips of orange peel. Be sure to remove only the orange part of the peel; the white part, called pith, is bitter.
