HAM STEAK WITH APPLE BARBECUE SAUCE

- Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add ham; cook until lightly browned on both sides. Drain and discard pan drippings.
- In small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, jelly and ginger; mix well. Spoon mixture over ham; turn to coat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 3 to 5 minutes or until ham is glazed and thoroughly heated.

BAKED HAM STEAK WITH BARBECUE SAUCE
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Line a rimmed baking pan with foil. Spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Place the ham in the prepared baking pan.
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter; add the chopped onion . Sauté the onion until translucent. Add the ketchup, water, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to blend and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until hot.
- Pour the sauce over the ham.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!

- Remove rind and trim off all but 1/4-inch of outer fat. Cut ham into two serving pieces. Score the fat edge at 1-inch intervals so the steak does not curl during cooking. Lightly saute, ham on both sides in butter for 3 to 4 minutes a side. Remove ham steak to a plate.
- Add apple and saute until somewhat soft. Stir in mustard and cider and reduce until the cider has almost entirely evaporated. Add the heavy cream and reduce until slightly thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper and spoon sauce over steak.

- In a large skillet, saute onion and pepper in butter until crisp tender. Remove from pan and set aside.
- Cut ham steak into 4 pieces and in the same skillet, brown ham on both sides.
- While ham is browning, in a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and apple juice until smooth; then pour over ham.
- Bring juices to a boil and cook while stirring for 1-2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Reduce heat and spread apple butter over ham.
- Top with sauteed onion.
- Cover pan and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until thoroughly heated through.
