RAISIN SAUCE FOR BAKED HAM

HAM WITH RUM RAISIN SAUCE
Steps:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine brown sugar, mustard, raisins, orange juice, rum and orange peel.
- Heat over medium-high heat until simmering.
- Meanwhile, whisk together cornstarch and water in a small mixing bowl.
- Once sauce is simmering and sugar has melted, pour in cornstarch mixture and whisk together.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, and remove from heat once sauce has thickened.
- Add butter and mix well.
- Slice warm ham into desired portions, and top with warm sauce.

- In a large saucepan, combine the raisins, 4 tablespoons water, orange juice and pineapple. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and remaining water until smooth; gradually stir into raisin mixture. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in extract if desired. , Cut the ham steak into four pieces. In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, cook ham over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side or until browned. Serve with raisin sauce.

EASY RAISIN SAUCE FOR HAM
This recipe came from my mother. Has always been one of my favorites! VERY easy...and inexpensive too! This is wonderful added to the top of the ham the last 30 minutes of the cooking time, or you can simply serve it with the ham in a small bowl. I hope you enjoy it.
