These are the BEST burgers I've ever had. My mother made a version of these and I changed it a little....instead of Jalapeno peppers you can add ANYTHING or just do the cream cheese...trust me...you're family and/or guests will BEG for the recipe!

2 cups seeded and chopped jalapeno pepper
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 pounds ground beef
8 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for medium heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate. In a medium bowl, stir together the jalapenos and cream cheese.
  • Divide the ground beef into 16 portions and pat out each one to 1/4 inch thickness. Spoon some of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of 8 of the patties. Top with the remaining patties, pressing the edges together to seal.
  • Grill for about 10 minutes per side, or until well done, taking care not to press down on the burgers as they cook. This will make the cheese ooze out. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and cheddar. Season with salt and pepper. With a small spoon, fill each jalapeno half with about 1 tablespoon cheese mixture. Place peppers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until cheese is browned and bubbling, about 10 minutes, rotating sheet halfway through.

3 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
1 teaspoon olive oil
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 pounds ground beef
4 slices pepper jack cheese
4 hamburger buns, split
4 lettuce leaves
1 large tomato, sliced
3/4 cup guacamole

Steps:

  • Brush jalapenos with oil. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until tender, turning occasionally. When cool enough to handle, finely chop. In a small bowl, combine the bacon, cream cheese and jalapeno until blended., In a large bowl, combine the garlic, salt, lemon pepper, pepper and paprika. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8 thin patties. Spoon bacon mixture onto center of 4 patties; top with remaining patties and press edges firmly to seal., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat for 6-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Top with pepper jack cheese. Cover and cook 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted., Grill buns, cut side down, over medium heat for 30-60 seconds or until toasted. Serve burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato and guacamole.

1 lb. ground beef, divided into 8 portions
3 jalapeño peppers
1 oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
7 slices KRAFT Big Slice Colby Jack Cheese Slice
11 slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Thick Cut Bacon
1 tablespoon KRAFT Chipotle Aioli
4 hamburger buns or rolls
lettuce
tomato slices
onion slices

Steps:

  • Remove seeds from jalapenos, cut up and sauté for 5 minutes; set aside.
  • Finely chop three slices of KRAFT Big Slice Colby Jack Cheese and mix with the cream cheese.
  • Add jalapenos and three slices chopped bacon. Mix well and set aside.
  • Form the eight burger portions into thin patties. Make sure they are similar in size.
  • Distribute the jalapeno cheese mixture evenly over four burger patties. Use the remaining patties as tops. Mold together, making sure the edges are crimped tight.
  • Cook on a hot grill. Make sure you don't flip them over too much. Try to cook one side completely before turning. When burgers are about ready, add another slice of Colby Jack cheese on top and let melt.
  • Garnish burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, 2 slices of bacon and aioli.
  • Note: Don't worry if a little stuffing escapes during the cooking process.

24 medium jalapeno peppers
1 pound uncooked chorizo or bulk spicy pork sausage
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
12 bacon strips, cut in half

Steps:

  • Make a lengthwise cut in each jalapeno, about 1/8 in. deep; remove seeds. Combine the sausage and cheese; stuff into jalapenos. Wrap each with a piece of bacon; secure with toothpicks., Grill, covered, over indirect medium heat for 36-40 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°, turning once. Grill, covered, over direct heat for 1-2 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

16 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (one 8-ounce package cream cheese)

1 (2 1/4 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
8 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Set grill to medium heat.
  • Oil the grill grates.
  • In a bowl stir together the softened cream cheese with jalapeno pepper; mix until combined.
  • In a bowl combine the ground beef with onion soup mix and garlic, then add whatever other seasonings you desire, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, etc (do not add in any extra salt to the ground beef mixture as the dry onion soup mixture already has enough salt).
  • Divide into 16 equal portions.
  • Pat out each portion to about 1/3-inch thickness (can make a little larger if desired).
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese into the center of 8 patty (do not spread out the mixture).
  • Top with remaining patties, pressing down the edges to seal the meat together.
  • Grill for about 10 minutes per side or until well done (do NOT press down on the burgers while cooking or this will make the cheese come out).
  • Serve on buns with favorite toppings.

2 tablespoons italian dressing
0.5 cups tomatoes
0.75 cups sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Slice jalapenos in half longwise. Brown hamburger and drain. Mix remaining ingredients (except cheese) with hamburger and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Take off stove and mix in 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese. Stuff jalapenos with mixture.
  • Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake 2 minutes or until melted.

  • Heat broiler to high. Place jalapeños cut side down on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Coat tops with cooking spray. Broil on middle rack of oven until just tender, 5 to 6 minutes. Cool slightly. Coarsely chop. Stir together chopped jalapeños, Cheddar, cream cheese, cayenne, and 1 teaspoon of the salt until smooth.
  • Place beef, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in a large bowl. Using your hands, combine thoroughly. Divide into 4 (6-ounce) balls. Flatten each ball into a 6-inch circle. Place 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture in center of each burger leaving a 1-inch rim. Carefully fold edges of meat over to cover filling, and seal; flatten into 3/4-inch thick patties. Chill 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high. Cook burgers to desired degree of doneness, about 3 minutes per side for medium. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on bottom and top halves of buns. Top bottom bun with a patty, tomato slice, onion, and pickled jalapeño, if desired. Top with top halves of buns.
