HONEY-BOURBON GLAZED BACON



Honey-Bourbon Glazed Bacon image

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/4 cup clover honey
2 tablespoons bourbon
12 slices double-smoked, thick-cut bacon
Coarsely ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine the honey and bourbon in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Lay the bacon on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes. Brush with some of the honey-bourbon syrup. Continue roasting until deeply caramelized and crispy, another 10 to 15 minutes--the bacon will really crisp as it cools. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon pepper and serve.

½ cup of honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons of Chinese five-spice powder
1 16 ounce package of thick-cut bacon
1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
Texas toast
Comb honey

Steps:

  • Soak the wooden skewers into water before threading on bacon Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. For honey-pepper, get a small saucepan, warm honey to liquid, add soy sauce, five-spice powder and pepper. Then set aside. Thread each bacon on the skewer, lay kabobs on rack of broiler pan. Bake it for 15 minutes Remove from oven. Brush it with honey-pepper, turning to coat each side. Bake again for 5 minutes or until crisp Serve it with Texas toast and comb honey using a cater box

2 tsp. chinese five-spice powder
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 16-oz. package thick cut bacon
Texas Toast (optional)
Comb Honey (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes. Drain just before threading on bacon. 2. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400F. For honey-peper, in small saucepan warm honey to liquid; stir in soy sauce, five-spice powder, and pepper. Set aside. 3. Thread each bacon slice on a skewer' lay kabob on rack of broiler pan. bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Brush generously with honey-pepper, turing to coat each side. Return to oven. Bake 5 minutes longer or until crisp. Serve with Texas toast and comb honey, if desired.
