I love cheddar, horseradish AND dip, so I was hopeful that Stephanie's recipe would be as good as it sounded... and turns out it is! This would be a great (and addictive!) choice for your next get-together.

8 oz softened cream cheese
4 c sharp chedder cheese, grated
1 Tbsp mustard
3 Tbsp horseradish
1/2 c stout ale
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp vinegar
2 dash(es) tabasco
1 pinch ground black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Adjust seasonings to taste.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) package shredded extra-sharp white Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon grated horseradish, or more to taste
½ teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • Beat cream cheese in a large bowl using an electric hand mixer until light and airy. Mix Cheddar cheese, horseradish, and mustard into cream cheese until fully incorporated. Refrigerate until chilled, at least 30 minutes.

1/2 lb cream cheese (8 oz.)
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, shredded (8 oz.)
1 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1 (5 ounce) bottle prepared horseradish

Steps:

  • In top of double boiler over boiling water, combine the cream cheese and cheddar cheese.
  • Stir until cheeses are melted and blended together.
  • Add the mayonnaise and the horseradish.
  • Turn into bowl and let stand for at least 30 minutes for flavors to blend.
  • Good served at room temperature or chilled.
  • To store, place in a covered container and refrigerate.
  • For dipping or spreading on fresh vegetables or matzo (or on bagels, Melba toast or crackers after Pesach).
  • Will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
