They are hot, and they are messy, cook the chicken on the grill for the best results, but you can fry them too. If you like hot wings, you will love these babies. Make sure you serve them with plenty of napkins, and cold beer.

Steps:
- Cook the wings as desired, I grill them, until cooked through, and crispy.
- meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet, and then add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until well mixed, and turn heat off. Place cooked wings in a bowl with a lid and add sauce, cover and shake until the wings are well coated. Serve with blue cheese, or ranch dressing, and some cold beer!
- * This makes a fairly spicy sauce, if you are afraid of heat, use less pepper.

HOT AND STICKY WINGS
Steps:
- Light broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; set aside. Rinse wings with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place wings on baking sheet skin-side up. Broil wings for 8 to 10 minutes while preparing sauce. NOTE: this step can be omitted, but produces a better tasting wing.
- Place wings in the crock of 4 quart slow cooker. In a bowl, stir to combine remaining ingredients. Pour over wings and stir to coat. Place lid on slow cooker and cook on high setting for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.
EXTRA CRISPY HOT WINGS
I personally like my Hot Wings deep fried and extra crispy. I came up with this recipe after getting tired of the same ol' messy wings with goopy skin. Substitute with your favorite wing sauce, but I always preferred the tangy taste and slight kick of Crystal Hot Sauce. I usually mix Crystal Hot Sauce with a bit of Crystal Extra Hot or Tabasco.

Steps:
- Take thawed chicken wing portions and place in ziplock bag.
- Pour hot sauce on wings for desired flavor and heat.
- Shake to coat chicken entirely.
- Marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Beat eggs in a medium sized bowl.
- Pour flour into the spare ziplock bag.
- Mix Old Bay seasoning thoroughly with flour.
- Add cayenne pepper (red pepper) for extra heat.
- Coat wings with beaten egg and then place in the bag with flour.
- Shake until wings are completely coated with flour.
- Place wings back in the refrigerator for approximately.
- 15 minutes so the flour will stick to the chicken.
- Preheat deep fryer to 370°F, or heat oil in a deep bottomed frying pan.
- Deep fry wings until a golden brown.

DETROIT HOT HONEY WINGS

- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
- Wash the wings well and pat dry with paper towel. Season the meat with cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken wings on preheated grill until cooked through and juices run clear, 20 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the wings. Brush the wings liberally using 1/2 cup of honey while they are cooking.
- Melt the butter, pour into a large bowl and mix in the remaining 1/2 cup of honey and hot sauce. Remove the wings from the grill and immediately toss them in the hot honey butter sauce to coat. Serve the wings 'wet' or return them to the grill for 1 minute per side to set the sauce.

- Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip sections. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flours, salt, paprika and cayenne. Add wings, a few at a time, and shake to coat., In an electric skillet or deep-fat fryer, heat 1 in. of oil to 375°. Fry six to eight wings at a time for 3-4 minutes on each side or until juices run clear, adding more oil as necessary. Drain on paper towels. Transfer wings to a large bowl and keep warm. , In a large saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat for 10 minutes or until butter is melted. This blazing hot wing recipe is an alternative to deep-fried wings. They are baked instead of fried and stay juicy rather than crisp. I started making these about 5 years ago and they were an instant hit. I am always asked to bring the wings for all the parties we are invited to now.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Arrange frozen chicken wings in a single layer in a shallow baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, then flip wings. Continue baking until the skin is crispy and meat is no longer pink at the bone, about 20 minutes more.
