This hot carob drink is a yummy alternative to hot chocolate when you want a warm comforting drink without the caffeine. It's paleo, vegan, and gluten-free.

Ingredients

1 cup almond milk (use any kind of milk you like)
½ tbsp maple syrup
½ to 1 tsp carob powder
Optional: top with coconut whipped cream

Steps:

The super fast way to make this is put all ingredients in mug and microwave for 1-2 minutes until hot. Stir and enjoy.
To make it extra frothy and even more delicious, use a frother like this after you have warmed it up.
Top with whipped cream for an extra treat. So good!!

1 cup milk
1 tablespoon carob powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

Combine milk and carob powder in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking to remove any lumps. Stir in honey and vanilla extract. Continue heating to desired temperature.

2 tablespoons carob powder (unsweetened)
1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
6 -8 ounces unsweetened soymilk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
sugar or another sweetener, to taste

Steps:

In a small saucepan, whisk together dry ingredients.
Gradually add soy milk to keep mixture smooth.
Heat, stirring often, until hot.
Stir in vanilla.
Add a natural sweetener to taste, if desired.
