- In a small bowl, combine butter and salad dressing mix; spread 1 tablespoonful inside each bun. On bottom of each bun, layer one slice of meat, two slices of cheese and another slice of meat; replace tops. Spread 1 tablespoon butter mixture over top of each bun. , Place on a baking sheet. Broil 6 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.

THE WHOLE HOG HOAGIE
Steps:
- Cut the Italian loaf in half horizontally and spread the Roasted Red Pepper Spread onto the cut side of both halves. On one half, evenly layer on the ham, then the mortadella, salami and provolone. Top with the romaine, radicchio and tomatoes, then top with the other half of the loaf. Cut into 1-inch sandwiches and serve with Quick-Pickled Zucchini on the side.
- Put the red peppers, mayonnaise, vinegar, oregano, red chile flakes and garlic in a food processor and pulse to combine well.
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the vinegar, salt, mustard seeds, chile flakes and 3 cups water to a simmer. Cook until the salt has dissolved, about 5 minutes.
- Divide the dill, garlic, zucchini and onions evenly between 2 quart-size mason jars.
- Pour the hot liquid into the mason jars to cover the ingredients and let cool to room temperature, about 1 hour. Serve immediately or cover with lids and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
- Combine butter, mustard, onions, poppy seeds and dill seed. Spread insides of buns with this mixture. Place a slice of cheese and a slice of ham inside each bun.
- Wrap buns in foil and place in preheated oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until cheese has melted.

AWESOME SWISS AND MOZZARELLA HAM HOAGIES
We used to love to go to this old family owned drive-in restaurant called Romano's. These hoagies were incredible! This is my version of them. They closed years ago unfortunately. :(

Steps:
- Spread inside bottoms of rolls with mayo. Toss ham slices in dressing.
- Pile ham inside rolls, don't lay flat.
- Mix cheeses together, pile on top of ham. Wrap each in foil loosely, sealing top of foil closed.
- Bake in 350º oven for 20 minutes or til heated through and cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven.
- Spread top rolls with butter and broil til butter is melted and tops are lightly toasted.
- While tops are toasting, open foil and top hoagies with lettuce tossed in a little salt and pepper, then top with tomato slices.
- Do this fairly quickly so your tops don't burn under the broiler!
- Then place on tops and enjoy!
- *You can spread tops with additional mayo if desired.
