3 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon honey
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
12 ounce egg noodles
8 ounce sour cream
8 ounce cream cheese
1 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cook and drain ground beef.
  • Mix beef with garlic, salt, honey and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Cook and drain egg noodles.
  • Mix sour cream and cream cheese together in a small bowl.
  • Place noodles in casserole dish. Add cream cheese mixture on top. Add ground beef mixture, then cheddar cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

1 pound hamburger meat
1 teaspoon garlic salt
24 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce, any flavor
1 envelope of thick and zesty dry spaghetti sauce mix
12 ounce package of medium egg noodles, cooked
16 ounce carton of sour cream
16 ounce bag of shredded cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish. Brown your hamburger meat and add the 1 tsp. of garlic salt. Drain meat if needed once it is finished browning.
  • In a glass mixing bowl, mix the jar of spaghetti and the envelope of dry spaghetti sauce with the browned hamburger meat.
  • Take 1/3 of the cooked noodles and spread them into the dish.
  • Spread about 1/3 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles.
  • Spread about 1/3 of the sour cream on top of the meat.
  • Sprinkle half of the cheese of your choice on top of the sour cream.
  • Continue this layering process and end it with the cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes and serve.

1 (4 ounce) package shredded cheddar cheese (but adds a lot to it) (optional)

Steps:

  • Brown beef, drain excess fat. Stir in salt, beans, BBQ sauce and onion, heat until bubbly.
  • Pour mixture into a 2-quart casserole.
  • Cut biscuits in halves to form 20 half circles, place cut side down along the edge of the casserole on meat mixture.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake, uncovered at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Being a farm wife, I'm always looking for recipes that can go out to the field. I got this one a number of years ago from my friend who is also a farm wife. It's rich, creamy and filling.

10 ounces egg noodles
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 (14.5 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 ½ cups sour cream
3 ounces cream cheese
½ onion, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add the tomatoes with juice, salt and sugar and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • In a separate medium bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese and onion and mix well. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, place half of the egg noodles, then all of the meat mixture, then the cream mixture. Top with the remaining noodles and sprinkle with the cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes.
