...or as I like to call it "aisu koohii" with "miruku". I'm Japan-crazy, what do can I do!! This is a really refreshing simple low calorie drink for those hot summer days that won't have you worrying about your waistline!

2 teaspoons instant coffee (or to taste)
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup low-fat milk
2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute (or any artificial sweetner, to taste)
1 pinch cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
ice cube

Steps:

  • Add the coffee to the cold water and let it sit for a while, around 5 minutes (because theres no heat to transfer the flavour to the water, it needs time to mix).
  • Add the milk, sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the coffee and stir.
  • Add ice cubes before serving. Pour into a tall glass. Enjoy.

I came up with this tonight when I discovered Recipe#187372. Give this a try, it's a pleasant surprise. The fat content in the Nutrition Facts is incorrect, it's giving you the fat content for real coconut milk.

1/4 cup coconut milk, see link in intro
1 cup skim milk
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract, extra from what is asked for the the Coconut Milk recipe
2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute (or to taste)
1/2-2/3 cup coffee, cubes (coffee frozen into ice cubes)
Cool Whip Lite (optional)

Steps:

  • Place 1/4 cup of Recipe#187372 into a glass.
  • Add 1 cup of skim milk along with coconut extract and Splenda.
  • Add coffee cubes to fill the glass as full as you want it and give it a stir.
  • Top with Cool Whip Lite if desired.
