Steps:
- Start by heating up oil on the saute setting. Add garlic and stir. Add onion powder and Italian seasoning. Stir and saute for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon out and discard any grease (this depends on the type of beef you use).
- Add 1/2 cup of water and scrape any bits from the bottom of the pot. This step is important as it will prevent the dish from burning during pressure cooking.
- Grab a handful of spaghetti noodles at a time, break in half and arrange in a criss-cross pattern on top of the meat. (see photo in post for visual reference). Add remaining water to the pot.
- Pour diced tomatoes (with liquid) and crushed tomatoes (or pasta sauce) over noodles. Do your best to keep it in the center, away from the edges of the pot. Close the lid, set the valve to sealing.
- Set timer to 7 minutes and make sure the IP is set to cook on HIGH pressure. It will take about 10 minutes for the Instant Pot to come to pressure, then it will start the countdown.
- Once the timer is done, wait 1 minute, then switch the valve to venting to release pressure.
- Open the lid away from your face, as there will be leftover steam in the pot. The dish will look like it has too much liquid, but all you need to do is stir well several time and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. It will thicken up.

Steps:
- Place the steam rack insert inside the IP. Place the meat on top of the steam rack, pour 1 cup of your liquid over it, and use the manual setting to cook for 25 minutes (if using fresh meat, you could cook for 12-15 minutes). Let steam release.
- Carefully remove the steam rack, with the meat on it, and set aside. Drain the liquid inside of the IP. Replace the meat and use a spoon or spatula to break it up. If the meat didn't brown all the way through, simply change the setting to sautee and finish browning the meat.
- Add the remaining liquid (water or broth), brown sugar, and tomato sauce. Stir well before adding the noodles. Make sure the noodles are covered by the liquid.
- Replace the lid and use the manual setting to cook for 10 minutes. Let steam release before removing the lid and stirring the spaghetti. You can serve it immediately or keep it on the 'warm' setting until ready to eat.

30 MINUTE INSTANT POT FROZEN GROUND BEEF SPAGHETTI
Steps:
- Pour 2 cups of water into the Instant Pot along with the pasta.
- Set a trivet (with handles) on top of the pasta and set the frozen ground beef on the trivet.
- Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes and natural release for 5 minutes. Note, when the cooking is done, the ground beef will not be completely cooked through.
- Move the trivet with the ground beef onto a plate. Drain the pasta into a colander.
- Put the inner pot back in the Instant Pot and press the "Saute" setting. When it says "HOT", start browning / breaking up the ground beef for about 2-3 minutes. After browning, I usually like to pour out the oil (from the beef) or scoop it out with a big spoon.
- Add in the pasta and the pasta sauce and mix until everything is evenly coated in sauce and heated through.
- Serve & enjoy!
