Healthy Green Juice image

Great healthy drink for detoxing after the holidays or whenever you have overdone it. Worth it to buy the organic celery, even if you buy conventional for everything else. Adjust fruit and veggie amounts to suit your personal taste. More apple equals a sweeter drink. Store any extra in a glass jar in the fridge for up to a day. Shake before drinking.

salt
black pepper
1 beet, washed and finely chopped
2 carrots, washed,peeled and finely chopped
3 leaves fresh spinach, washed and finely chopped
2 tomatoes, washed,peeled and finely chopped
fresh lime juice (add a few drops first and then check to see if you need more)

Steps:

  • To make this healthy morning drink, put all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Cover and process until smooth.
  • Serve immediately.

An energizing health-drink that carries a lot of iron for those of us out there who do not eat red meat or who tend to be anemic.

1/4 cup dried apricot
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
9 ounces carrots
2 ounces spinach
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons kelp powder
2 tablespoons mineral water

Steps:

  • Chop the apricots finely, cover with 1/2 cup boiling water and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Carefully chop the seeds with a large knife. Roughly chop the carrots.
  • Drain the water from the apricots. Put the spinach through a juicer, followed by the apricots and carrots. Mix in the lemon juice, seeds, and kelp powder.
  • Pour into a glass and top off with a littler mineral water. Serve immediately for maximum benefit.
