When I do kaisermelange, I typically do 2/3rds of a cup of coffee, and I'll slowly heat the egg yolk beaten in with the honey, and if I'm going to add milk, I add 1/3rd of a cup in while the egg heats up, then when I feel it's sufficiently hot (still haven't figured an exact temperature yet...) I pour the yolk mixture in and enjoy. 1
